Those games still hold up well today. Its not "nostalgia." Its not like its some snes series getting rebooted. Its this gen's version and its looking questionable.
This game looks god awful. Why are they doing this? Luckily, I just found a used copy of SSX 3 on gamecube to play on my Wii. I think i'll just stick to that.

SOLID remote. It seems to have 2 different features I've been waiting for...
1) UNIVERSAL (Bluetooth + IR)
2) BACKLIT
I can't stand trying to use the standard ps3 remote in the dark. I dont use it enough to learn all the buttons, and I like to watch my movies in the dark. It creates a problem. Will buy ASAP.

this has been a great videogame generation because ALL of the systems have a niche and are doing quite well. hopefully it keeps up and we can delay the "next gen" systems for a while. since each company is selling a bunch, no one has a need to one-up the competition.

Sorry, I forgot that N4G is an anti-CoD zone. Almost as bad as the anti-360 bias present here...and this is coming from a guy that plays ps3 and not 360.

Well it just so happened that the 3rd party title was pretty damn good. And maybe certain publications didn't wanna anger the butthurt fanboys with making a ps3 exclusive GOTY for the 2nd year in a row. But whatever.
If you can't even admit that the ps3 exclusives have been top-notch you're not worth arguing with.

Regardless of systems "maxing out," I still think this generation is going to last longer than previous generations. The main reason for this, in my opinion, is that every system is perfoming rather well. Usually if a console is getting pounded (original xbox comes to mind) the company has incentive to jump to the next generation. Not so right now.
The ps3 is in "last" (for now anyways) but youd have to be pretty dumb to not realize ps3 has been a success....
