lol. thank you lokiroo...i just couldn't understand the problem. glad i'm not crazy. But I also see the post above where citizen says that the slim ps3s can't play ps1 games so clearly he's nuts.

_____

Seriously Citizen, I don't know if you're purposely being stupid just to generate posts on the story you put on N4G, but this is just ridiculous. You make me laugh. You should try to go back to school and get a real job instead of wasti...

Citizen: You lose all credibility (if you, you know, had any) when you say that the slims can't play ps1 games. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

I honestly don't understand anything that you're saying and I'm not going to argue with you anymore since clearly you're not actually reading what I'm writing. I'm simply going to repeat my point once more, and hopefully you'll comprehend what I'm saying.

Your comment = incoherent rambling.

BC is on a hardware level, yes. Duh.

But the Memory Card feature is NOT on a hardware level. That's part of the firmware. THEREFORE, for it to "not be included" in the slim ps3, Sony would need two different firmwares (One for the Slim, One for BC PS3s). And thats obviously not feasible or smart.

I seriously don't understand what some of you people aren't understanding about this. ...

What "mystery" is this guy talking about?

The create ps1/ps2 memory card features are part of the Operating System. And since a decent chunk of people have PS3s that play ps2 games, they can't just remove that feature from the OS.

Mystery solved! Wow i must be a genius. Or this article must be a fail.

I'm not sure if it got patched early on--there was a LOT of information about it those first few days. It was right before the whole sex mini-game part of GoW III. I definitely had to restart playing from the beginning; there was no way around the glitch. It was right after the Poseidon Princess scene. You name it; I tried it. There was just no way to use my save file and continue to progress.

Here's a link to the ps3 forums thread:

I feel bad for the users experiencing this glitch...I imagine it's similar to the way I felt when God of War III kept glitching at the platform jumping/bridge turning part. I was NOT happy about needing to restart my GoWIII game.

Actually every once in a while a game REQUIRES the firmware update, and they include it on the disc.

It's Too Little, Too Late to save N4G from pseudo-journalistic garbage like the above article. It's like every teenager with computer access thinks he's got the next IGN on his hands. And unfortunately, the N4G setup allows crap like this to happen with authors & friends artificially boosting up the placement on the front page. It's sad.

My comment is to use proper grammar if you intend on becoming a legitimate journalistic website. "Where are Rare," seriously? When you have typos and grammar mistakes, you belong in the realm of the blog.

More power to you man. I know a few people who agreed, but even more who got to the "better" part and told me it wasn't worth it. And the start was just too unforgivably slow and boring for my tastes.

After the immense disappointment of FFXIII, I'm a bit more apprehensive about versus than most of you seem to be. I don't think anyone was predicting FFXIII to be the disaster that it was, so I'm hoping to not be disappointed again.

I hope I'm wrong and that versus recaptures the magic...haven't truly enjoyed a FF game since X (Unless you count 7-9 being released again on the PSN)

Umm, wrong. Just because we didn't all fall in love with MGS: PW doesn't mean we didn't play it. I've played every MGS game since MGS on PSX including the PSP games and Peace Walker isn't really at the level of the main MGS games.

It's a great outing for the PSP, for sure. I wouldn't even say i disliked it. But for the first time I can remember, I was BORED playing a MGS game.

I understand the main points. What Kojima managed to do...

This is exactly why I'm a Sony-gamer. I enjoy a lot more than just first-person shooters; I like a little VARIETY to my lineup. While Microsoft continues to milk the Halo franchise, Sony (and partners) just keep coming up with new great IPs.

Love me some Infamous and Uncharted. And Resistance.

And from the PS2 generation: Killzone, God of War, Ratchet & Clank

And of course our old favorites: MGS, Gran Turismo
