I've seen a few people making this argument. For the record, True Crime is NOT a new IP. There's already been a few games. They haven't been "terrible" per some of the reviews, but not great either.
Just out of curiosity, how do you have any idea how much time it takes to create a videogame map pack?
Question: Would you guys rather Activision release a game they KNOW is bad? Would that make you happy? Knowingly releasing a crap game because they know SOME people will buy it no matter what, allowing them to recoup costs?
Is that what you want?
I feel the need to speak up to show that not EVERYBODY on N4G is an immature moron. These companies don't have an obligation to develop and release games that won't meet their profit expectations. Activision makes plenty of money with their blockbuster series and they don't need to take risks to ensure profit.
If you've tested a game, know its not great, know it can't become a blockbuster and sell millions...why would you STILL go forward with it.

I'm not saying the reviewers are ALL right here. But if GG has troublesome scenes full of glitches, etc., they wouldn't put them into the demo. Time will tell.
