It's probably not going to score as high as predicted, but it will still be a great buy for the PS3ers out there.
RE4 was the best game of the last generation, and RE5 will be the defining game of this generation. Resident Evil 5 will be the main event, and probably the 2009 GOTY.
I would never go through the trouble of selling a console and buying another (and inevitably losing money in the process) just to get DLC. It would have to take MULTIPLE AAA games and then some to do that.
I would like to play MGS4, but I wouldn't even think of selling my 360 to get a PS3. I'm sure there's at least one 360 exclusive that most PS3 owners want to play, but it's not worth selling the PS3 for.

I think MGS4 will be a great game and possibly the highest selling PS3 game to date. But I don't know where all of the 360 "Judgment Day" bullcrap is coming from. Just 12 year old, pimply-faced geek banter. If you think logically you'll realize that this game won't sell nearly as much as Halo 3, especially when it's being released in the wake of GTA 4.
This November, GoW2 will go on to own every other game of the Christmas season, and like MGS4, could possibly be GOTY....
You list all those games, but what about the shooter fans who were really counting on that one to be good? There are a lot of older gamers who don't want to play a game like LBP.
I don't think getting scores in the 7-9's, and in the low 80's on metacritic is all that bad. Won't be a GOTY candidate, but it could've done worse. Hell, it could've gotten Haze scores (now THAT is a flop).
It's funny how people have to resort to naming old flops on the 360, especially the all-but-broken Hour of Victory. Like it was ever supposed to be an AAA title.
On a side note, I think they should do with Haze what they did with the Hulk franchise: do a resta...

A difference between you and me is that I could care less if someone prefers the PS3 over the 360. If someone likes the 360 better, you and all of the other Sony girls lose sleep over it. I know I like to tease Sony fans sometimes, but the reality is that Sony does a great job with their games division. The PS3 is a good, powerful system with an increasing library of great games....
I can't believe the amount of desperation in the posts of some of you retards above. Yeah, some games are flops like Hour of Victory. NG2 isn't even out yet, and it's getting scores in the 7's and 8's so far. Not the best, but not terrible. I wouldn't call it a flop.

Wow, Haze only got a 56.7% so far on gamerankings.com. I think it may be a timed exclusive, so I was hoping it would do better. The TV commercial for it is very deceiving. Some reviewer gave it a 9 out of 10, so of course they quote that review and act like it's the norm.
As far as NG2 goes, I may get it. The reviews don't say it's the best game in the world, but not every game can be. It is getting solid reviews though, so it should be a good, challenging game.

Saints Row ruled. It will be hard to beat GTA IV though, but it does stand a decent chance to do so. Hopefully the main character will have more dialogue this time around.
