You guys are lame. 1UP are not 360 fanboys, and not everything is a conspiracy toward the PS3 and Sony.
Do the owners of one console really get that upset when a great exclusive comes out for the other one? I don't. But then again, I have a life outside of video games too.
Next gen hasn't peaked. With Gears 2, Fallout 3 and especially Resident Evil 5 on the way, we all have plenty to look forward to.

All I see from Sony fanboys are them saying "NG2 is a FLOP" because it's scoring in the 8.0's, and it's not a 9.0 or above in most, but not all, places.
What about Gran Turismo 5? It was billed as AAA, yet only scored an 80 in Metacritic. That means it was scoring in the 7.0's in some places, if it averaged an 80. Does that make it a flop, like Lair and Haze?

The two systems are on par with each other, but the 360 does seem to run most games better so far. At the very least, the PS3 will never blow the 360 away like Sony once promised. The 360 just plain rules.
What defines a flop? Gran Turismo 5 was billed as an AAA game and it only has an 80% on Metacritic. Flop? The average Ninja Gaiden 2 score is in the 80's. Flop? I guess it all has to do with what your preconceived expectations are for a game.
You either like Halo or you don't. Say what you want about the Halo franchise, but the fact that Halo 3 was the highest selling console exclusive in history speaks for itself. If Halo was so overrated in the eyes of the masses, then Halo 2 and 3 wouldn't have been so successful.

MGS4 certainly plays to a niche of fans, but the question is, how big is that niche? I'm guessing that a lot of people were holding off buying a PS3 until this game came out. It will be a system seller.
They've taken long enough to make this game, geez. It will be a trilogy and part 2 and 3 will read the hard drive to determine how the storyline goes, similar to Mass Effect. The premise of the game is cool. It will be the actual gameplay that makes or breaks this game though. We shall see.

Considering the 360's low install base in Japan, 20,000 doesn't seem all that bad. If you judge it against the sales of a Wii or PS3 game in Japan I'm sure it's low, but compared to the sales of other 360 games it's probably pretty good.
