I like my Xbox Live the way it is. I don't want anything like Home on the 360. If I want the Sims, I'll go buy the Sims. I'll take easy to navigate, well organized menus, thank you very much.
MS's aggressive tactics and throwing their wallets around will pay off in the end. It won't guarantee a 360 win, but MS's future in the gaming industry extends beyond the 360.
Just because a dev doesn't want to put a game on PS3 doesn't mean that MS paid someone off. Kleptic is right - PC devs would find the 360 easier to develop for because it's so similar to a PC. For a lot of devs, the PS3 has been a headache. The PS3 is very powerful hardware, but for some programmers, it might not be worth it.
I'm not a PC gamer, so I never got into Doom. If I can play it on my 360 though, I'll definitely check it out.
It would be hilarious to see Zhuk and Dark Sniper have an argument about which console is better.
Kleptic, 3rd party, multiplatform games are the solid majority of games, probably 90% or more. Out of all of those multiplatform games, the 360 has outperformed the PS3 in most.
The most impressive exclusive out so far is definitely MGS4, in almost every way. It's downright breathtaking. GOW 2 will be the new measuring stick in terms of graphics though. GT already said it looks better than Killzone 2.
Dark Sniper is funny as hell!
Those shots look OK, but nothing compared to these shots, in HD:

They are amazing (thanks to zslash for posting them in the gamer zone)!
This one is my favorite:

This game will be the new me...
They said 360 COMPATIBLE hardware, so this most likely means that other companies will make entertainment devices that happen to feature the ability to play 360 games.
Getting the 360 closer to the magic $199 price point just in time for fall's heavy-hitters including Gears of War 2 is a great move on MS's part. It will definitely help sales.
Who says it's superior hardware? Yeah, BluRay has more storage, but it doesn't make the game look or run better. The 360 versions of games consistently look better.
Some games look identical, but this looks WAY better on the 360. Look at the ground and the detail in it. Also, the 360 is a lot more clear. Did you notice during the vehicle scene that there were bushes in places on the 360 version where there were none at all in the PS3 version?
With the superior...
The demo is pretty fun, I may have to get this one eventually. Great graphics, destructible environments, they did a good job with this one.
Ram, you have quickly become the biggest douche on this message board. Your little-boy mentality and comments amaze me. If you like the PS3 better, that's cool, but it's not this all powerful system that has no worthy competitors.
As far as hard drive space goes, 360 users have plenty. When my HDD starts to get full, I simply delete old demos I never play and old game trailers that I never watch. You have to remember, 360 owners don't have to install games on the HDD, we just...
Microsoft will be just fine. It's not like they found out Bill was leaving over night. Not to mention, Bill can stick his nose in MS's business whenever he wants to.
Juuken..."And especially Heavenly Sword?" - To anyone out there that isn't blind, walk into a Game Stop next time you're near one. Go to the PS3 display. Turn on the Heavenly Sword demo, chances are it'll be on there. Now take a good look at it and tell me there aren't jaggies galore. Now do the same for other games on there, including Uncharted. Uncharted is an amazing looking game, but it's not the current standard. Again, lots of jaggies, at least on the Sony TV that it's o...
But he knows how to sell more games :-D
This add-on rocks! It gives Snake a cool pink polka-dot eye patch!
Any big game like that will be a system seller. Lots of people hold out until a game they're specifically waiting for comes out. Lots of MGS fans waited for this one to come out to buy a PS3, just like lots of Halo fans waited until Halo 3 came out to get a 360. The same can be said for GTA IV. Gears 2 will sell 360s this fall. Resident Evil 5 will also sell consoles for both companies.
Do you make love to your PS3? You need a girlfriend, badly. Yikes.
1) Keep the 360 (and power brick) dust free - dust them once or twice a month, including underneath the 360, where dust can gather.
2) Keep the 360 (and power brick) well ventilated.
3) Keep the 360 (and power brick) on a hard (NON-CARPETED) surface.
That's it, easy.
