I'll probably never play it, but hey, chalk up another one.
Both are HD consoles. There have been instances where the native resolution for a game was true HD on one console and not the other, but after upscaling, they look identical.
People make such a big deal about the native resolution, even though if you look at both versions side-by-side, you'd have a hard time telling which is which after upscaling.
Does anybody here sit up close to the screen with a magnifying glass (not that it would help). Who cares!
Let's assume for a second that the PS3 all of a sudden starts coming out with game after game that the 360 can't match in terms of graphical power. Is it still early enough in this generation that it would even matter? The next gen is probably only a couple of years away. The 360 has had the performance edge so far, and we're several years into this gen. It won't be too long until we're arguing over the power and games of the next gen consoles.
The 360 will be supported well into the next gen too. The only reason MS stopped supporting Xbox 1 is because they were losing money on the hard drive. Giving credit to Sony, they have a great business model with the PlayStation, and MS will look to emulate that by supporting and profiting off of the 360 well into the next gen.
karlostomy, how much were they losing before?
The best way in my opinion to judge who is winning the console war is which company is making the most profit from its video game division. I have a hard time believing it's Sony right now.
There's no denying that as far as the demo goes, the 360 version is superior. It could change when the final versions are released, but my money is on the 360 version...hell, it has to be, because the 360 is all that I own!
Hamas has done good for the people of Palestine, but the bottom line is that they are a radical, terrorist group that calls for the destruction of Israel. Unfortunately, innocent people getting hurt or killed is a casualty of war. Israel doesn't support the killing of innocent civilians unlike radical Islam does. Islamic extremists are savages that can't be reasoned with. They need to be exterminated like the vermin they are. Beheadings, suicide bombings; that's a real lovely culture. I'm...
So is Sony punishing everyone for the acts of some? That's not cool if they are.
Another hilarious post. Are you guys sure DarkSniper and Zhuk aren't the same person?
LOL, just like MGS4 and LBP "killed" 360 this past year? The 360 seems to be alive and well to me. What was the fastest selling exclusive this year again? Oh yeah, Gears 2.
Blu Ray isn't a total failure. It beat HD-DVD, so it's the winning format, however, I doubt Blu Ray will ever be as prominent in the home as DVD. I say this simply because things are moving in the way of digital download. People are realizing that music and movies are both moving to physical-space-saving digital download.
If there is one thing that can be blamed on holding the PS3/Blu Ray back right now, I'd say it's the economy. People automatically think of the PS3 as being...
Graphics do put the icing on the cake and help immerse you in the game more, so they are important. However, game play is the number one most important aspect of a game.
What makes a console good first and foremost is its game library. If I prefer Halo and Gears over PS3 exclusives, then I'll stick with the 360, regardless of which has better graphics. If you like MGS4 and LBP, then stick with the PS3.
The original Xbox was the undisputed graphics powerhouse last ...
If you don't think all 3 companies would like to use their online services to nickel-and-dime us to death, then consider yourself naive.
I think the idea of unlocking avatar items through game achievements is great. It's bragging rights in a way, especially if you can unlock a cool item that your friends can't. I like that idea way more than spending little bits here and there to upgrade your avatar.
Glad you like it. It's actually an old photoshop that I made quite some time ago.
Congratulations is spelled with a T by the way, you reDard.
I'm surprised they haven't released a game yet where all of the characters are gay...this just in, Home is now out exclusively on PS3.
jack who - LOL, that was the funniest comment I've read in a while. bubbles
Each time a price drop happens, there is a little bit of buzz and momentum to accompany it. If Sony drops its price, then of course it will sell more and gain momentum. If MS drops its price, same thing. And if the Wii ever lowers its price, then prepare to get trampled in the isles of every store around.
9's and 10's, fastest (and soon to be highest) selling game of the year, GOTY nominee in multiple publications...yeah a real flop. Some douchebag doesn't like the fact that your health regenerates and he calls it broken?
The game plays beautifully. It's super addictive and very fun. If you don't like it then go play something else. Regenerating health in a WWII shooter such as COD would be unrealistic too, but I haven't heard many people b!tch about that. Babies.
It was the year of the 360, again. MGS4 and LBP may be awesome, but let's face it, the king of attention and sales this year was
Gears of War 2. Not to mention that the 360 has outsold the PS3 by more than 2 to 1 these past few months in the largest market in the world. Then there's the fact that MS actually makes a profit when they sell a 360. Oh yeah, and most multiplatform games still have the edge on the 360, and sell more on the 360 for the most part.
