That's surprising. I'm a Gears guy myself, but I love my CoD too. The fact that CoD 5 is selling so well is a testament to CoD 4, which resurrected a dying franchise. Can't wait to play CoD: Modern Warfare 2 when it comes out.
They said MS likes to wait to unveil things until they are closer to being shared with consumers, as opposed to Sony who gives CGI previews years in advance, and most of the time the game mysteriously doesn't look as good when it actually comes out as it did in the preview.
Gears 2 is a masterpiece. It has one of the best storylines ever. Playing co-op in storyline and Horde is incredibly addicting. I found it difficult to put the controller down when I was going through the campaign. I honestly can't say enough great things about the game and the franchise in general.
If this were a PS3 exclusive, then PS3 fanboys would be the ones who are saying how great this game is.
Should we acknowledge the Wii as a console or a kid's toy?
I left the exact same post in the Gamer Zone, but what the hell, I'll post it here too:
I won't be playing Killzone 2 since I don't have a PS3, but it looks awesome. It will be a great game and a great seller.
On the flipside, a lot of Sony fanboys seem to be bashing the GTA4 DLC, saying things like "it's pathetic" and it's "not a real game". Yes you download it, and yes it might not be as big as the true GTA4 game, but nevertheless it's a new gam...

It's like a mini-sequel and will be sure...
"360 Not So Big in Japan"
Wow, that's quite the revelation.
Japan is a big rock for MS that they need to keep chipping away at. They're making progress, little by little. At least they're the #1 console in the #1 market.
Especially considering that this is MS's second venture in the video game world previously dominated by Sony, they're doing great. While gamers may judge success on number of consoles sold, I think the companies themselves are more inclined to judge their success on the profit they make in the end. I think MS is not only doing well, but leading in both areas as this time.
Graphics Whore, you are one dumb tw@t. You have such a short memory. There were plenty of people last gen on the Sony side who had the sales = quality mentality, when the PS2 was selling unseen amounts of consoles. But now that the PS3 is playing catch up in hardware and software sales, it's a different story. But it is very true that sales don't equal quality.
Halo 3 is an awesome game, with a very high score, and sales that no PS3 game will ever reach. I definitely don't ...
There's a reason that Halo and Gears both sell more than any PS3 game could ever hope to dumbass, and that is, they both are amazingly fun and kick ass. They have both become part of pop culture.
Go F yourself f@ggot. Why say anything? Because it's retarded fanboys like you that think Sony is the be all, end all, and that they never copy anything. Someone typed just the other day that MS has done nothing for the videogame industry. You wouldn't have PSN (or at least have it be as far along as it is) if it weren't for MS seeing that the future of gaming is online. You wouldn't have trophies (which Sony was originally planning on calling "entitlements" -- proving that the...
OK, is this crap going to be pulled on every high profile exclusive that comes out for the 360 and PS3? LAME! I said it last time, there are many people who put their blood, sweat and tears into these games. They give up a lot of free time and family time to make them. The least we can do is let them speak for themselves, regardless of what console they're on. I have a 360 and don't plan on buying a PS3. I would like to play Killzone 2, but I won't go on a review website and make up bull...
Yeah it's a shame when great games don't see sequels because of poor sales. Great sales don't equal great games.
I thought that Sony never copies anything and that they innovate all [rolls eyes].
I do like that Sony gave it their own spin though with the leveling system, so it's at least not a direct, blatant copy.
Yeah, that must be it. Holy crap, are you retarded.
Wow dukadork, your comment is so clever and insightful. You must be a very persuasive and well respected person.
If I thought sales equals quality, I would've bought a PS2. :-D
Gears is a top notch game, one of the best storylines I've ever seen, and some of the best, most faced-paced game play ever. On top of that, it has graphics that a graphics whore such as yourself can appreciate.
And on top of that, regardless of sales, I think 360 games usually are of higher quality.
I think this shows that many people buy PS3's for the Blu-Ray.
I think 2009 will be a telling year. After this year, I think we'll have a good idea of whether the PS3 will ever catch the 360 or not. It's pretty safe to say that the winner of this gen will be Nintendo, but as far as HD gaming goes, who knows.
No company has ever had the winning console for three consecutive generations, and it looks like it won't happen this time around too.
Why do you Sony fangirls keep insisting that any website or mag that gives video game reviews is in bed with Microsoft? Whenever they say that a game is better on the 360, they're all of a sudden either paid off by MS, or a bunch of 360 fanboys.
You people are pathetic. No console has the best version of a game every time, and each console has its pros and cons.
I wouldn't be surprised if Mass Effect 2 is an end of the year surprise that will be unveiled at E3. I can't wait for this game. I beat the game twice, back-to-back, so I have to different characters and stories to continue.
