In other words, they're probably going to make an adapter that is 3.5mm compatible.
One good thing did come out of the whole DRM situation... Microsoft, at least for the time being has seemed to realize that they better be less arrogant and more consumer friendly. Their level of communication to the customer seems to be increasing. Prior to E3 they probably wouldn't have even addressed this and kept their controller port totally proprietary with no "solutions&q...
Who cares. Anyone making the big bucks at Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, or wherever will tow the company line in any direction those above them want to go. If Larry Hyrb publicly stated that he didn't agree with the original all digital, DRM direction of the Xbox One a few weeks ago, how do think that would've worked out for him? Not too well. I'm sure he has a family to feed, so he's going to go in whatever direction the hand that feeds him (that being Microsoft) wants to go...
I'll be getting the PS4 first for sure, but I read the comments in the article and they make good points. Eventually, consoles will not have discs, including future PlayStations, that's just the way things are going. I don't think that MS is being evil or anti-consumer, rather they are trying to please everyone, which means a little give and take in each area.
But the bottom line is that right now, I want the ability to buy used discs without restrictions, and o...
Microsoft is moving backwards. They were the first guys to include a headset and now the XBone doesn't come with one? I'd much rather be able to have a headset and have a private conversation, and not have voices coming out from the TV. My friends and other people on Live and PSN tend to curse, which I don't want blaring out of my speakers if my kids are around. Also, won't the mic on the Kinect pick up peripheral noise?
Sony is being straightforward, humble and honest, and it is paying off.
I don't think any look spectacular, but how the console looks is the last thing I care about. All I know is that Sony has done everything right with the PS4. I don't even know if I want an Xbox One, and I was one of the 360's biggest defenders at the start of last gen.
The only thing that can make me get an XBone at this point is if the next Halo and Gears both get 10's, and even then I'm not so sure. I'm thinking that the PS4 will be my ONE stop ...
That was the biggest E3 ass kicking ever! Great job Sony!
JokesOnYou..."Well I never heard of IGN...must be some random fanboy blogg just making sh** up." As I type this he has 1 Agree and 22 Disagrees, which begs the question...do you people not know what sarcasm is?
Even if it's true, developer after developer has said how great it will be to work with. Sony is doing everything right with the PS4. The launch titles will look incredible...I can't wait to see what they'll look like towards the middle and end of the upcoming generation!
If MS alone bans used games on the next Xbox, then they could stand to lose a lot of customers. If they come to an agreement with Sony and both go this route, it could actually benefit them and the industry as a whole since used game sales actually hurt the developers and publishers.
However in order for a model to be successful where used games are banned, I think both companies need to develop a Steam-like pricing strategy, where games become cheaper more quickly, and insa...
Sorry, but I want realism in games. When I am battling Nazis in a WWII game, I don't get offended because they are all white. On the contrary, I would be more offended if the game designers thought we weren't mature enough to handle that fact that all Nazis were white.
Likewise, in a game like this that takes place in an exotic location, it wouldn't be realistic to have a large percentage of enemies be white. In fact, it would be insulting to anyone who wants t...
So far I've seen IGN's score of 9.8/10, and now BT's score of 5/10. Either IGN is giving up its reputability and kissing MS's ass, or BT is trying to be "that website" by being different. Time will tell as more reviews roll in. Considering the people behind Halo 4 and the fact that MS spared no expense, I'm willing to believe that IGN's score is more accurate.
Does it look better than Uncharted 3? I'll let you know when I'm able to buy a copy and pop it in my PS3.
Colin Quinn had the best line about Muslims: "Don't let a few million bad apples spoil the whole bunch".
Supposedly, Islam is a peaceful religion. Now I do know some Muslims personally, and they are wonderful people. However there seems to be a large percentage of people who practice the religion whose mentality are stuck in the middle ages. I'm sorry but Sharia Law is outdated and barbaric.
I'd hate to see Sony go (they won't!), but hypothetically, if they did, you can rest assured that either Apple, Google, Sega or some other company would be waiting in the wings to fill the void.
Nintendo and Sony are in the same market, obviously, but they aim towards different demographics. As a 31 year old guy I don't know too many of my friends who are waiting for the next Pokemon game to come out on a Nintendo console.
MS and Sony need to worry about each other way more than Nintendo. Sure they can both take a piece of Nintendo's pie with their Kinect's and their Move's, but most of the younger demo will opt for the lovable cartoon characters an...
I love both MS and Sony's consoles. I hope the PS4 comes out swinging first. If they can make PSN on PS4 as multiplayer friendly as Xbox Live (including cross-game chat!) then they will really give them a run for their money. I would love for PSN to force Xbox Live to be free...one less bill I and many others would have to pay.
Gotta love competition!
They better release HL3 before people stop caring.
GaymerCon is being proudly brought to you by Chick-Fil-A.
Yeah this game is definitely on my to do list before getting into next gen games.
