The sad fact is that just like this generation, unless we eventually get both consoles, we're going to miss out on some great stuff. If you are only going to get one for the time being, you just have to do your research and pick out the one that you think will be the best fit for you.

He wouldn't have anything to gain by trashing Reggie. Reggie and Yoshida both know that the Wii U is lame compared to the other two. It's for the kiddies and hardcore Nintendo guys. Barely anyone will say "should I buy a PS4 or a Wii U?". It just won't happen, it's between PS4 and Xbox One.

I wish Nintendo would become a third party company for consoles and stick to handhelds for hardware, an area where they are dominant. I would love to play Ma...

Wow, this is JUST LIKE Sony's Instant Game Collection. :-(

Has Microsoft demonstrated the "power of the cloud"? I have yet to see any visuals that the PS4 shouldn't be able to beat or at least match. If the cloud can make visuals that beat the hell out of PS4 you would think that MS would at least give a demonstration to wow everybody even if it wasn't quite ready for the public yet.

Xbox One might not be as powerful as PS4, but to say that it will start the generation vastly underpowered might be a bit of a reach. Most games will probably look roughly the same. I'll be getting a PS4 first so I hope that most games perform better on it of course, but I'm guessing that most noticeable differences will be with the exclusives.

Some of these "journalists" who write video game articles sure do have a tendency to over-analyze things...and N4G just loves to link to them.

I can't wait for the the consoles to actually come out so that many of these speculation articles and arguments will be over, and we can just simply watch the LensOfTruth.com comparison videos to decide for ourselves.

In building the PS4, I think Sony was determined to make the most powerful console of this generation. If issues were to arise with the RAM allocation between games and the OS to the point where Xbox One games were outshining their PS4 counterparts, I believe that Sony would make the necessary adjustments to make sure that it would no longer happen.

I'm still getting PS4 first, but XB1 is looking better and better! Isn't competition great?! Both systems are going to kick ass!

Big deal. The Sega Genesis is faster than the PS4 and Xbox One because it has BLAST PROCESSING!!!

Microsoft is coming out with all of these exclusives for the Xbox One, but I feel like they're doing so at the expense of the Xbox 360. First party support for the 360 has really waned these past couple of years, so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what happened. When the first batch of Xbox One exclusives is released, will they go back to releasing very few per year? And how many will be Kinect games that I have to interest in playing?

Meanwhile So...

The man knows his stuff, and I think he has done everything right with the PS4. His face and mannerisms remind me a lot of Dana Carvey.

I'd say that the greatest controller to date is the 360 controller. It fits perfectly in your hand and feels perfectly natural for most game types, maybe with the exception of fighting games because of the D-pad, its biggest flaw. No doubt that the PlayStation controllers have the best D-pad in the business.

I do think though that the DualShock 4 will soon take the crown for best controller ever though, it looks sweet.

What I don't get is Nintendo. ...

It's only too cheap if Sony is losing money on each unit sold to the point where it's not worth it for them. So is $399 too cheap? Hell no. They could go $499, but by having the PS4 at $399 it will help grow their install base that much quicker, which in turn will lead to more PS Plus subscriptions sooner than later and the selling of more software. The $399 price will absolutely pay off for Sony in both the short and long term.

I vote for a July 4th release, but that's just me.

While Edge Magazine is right in the fact that the PS4 is indeed my next console, isn't it kind of a dick move on their part to do that to Microsoft?

No one is perfect. While the DRM thing proved to be awful for the PR of Xbox One, Mattrick has been great as a whole for the Xbox brand. And to his credit, he reversed the policies before he left, even though he probably didn't have to.

I know many people have a certain allegiance to one of the two companies, but it's in our best interest for both to remain strong competitors to each other. Without the competition, the PS4 would be $500, Xbox One would have DRM, an...

From an article on Eurogamer.net: Let's put it plainly: will PlayStation owners ever see Titanfall?

"It's definitely not out of the question," Emslie replied. "We have a huge appreciation for the fans. Coming out and showing it to everybody, we're super nervous and wanted to make sure everybody loved it. We love all our fans, whatever console they support.

"So yeah. We want to make everybody happy, but this is where we're a...
