They came up with the 10 family members sharing policy when people kicked up a fuss about being unable to share games on the system. Publishers were obviously not consulted about this as what publisher wants a single copy of a game shared by 10 people? They would have only sold 10% of the the number of copies versus the standard system of purchase.
It really is as simple as that.
Yeah, he also said at one point that PS4 could launch at $250 and Xbone $299. I think his idea is that if he just gives out random numbers when interviewed, he's bound to get it right at least once.
I totally agree with you. Now there should be a proper competitive market, not the Sony dominated blood-bath that would have ensued.
They're afraid of competing with GTA I think.
Sounds great, haven't played such a huge driving game since 'the Great American Cross Country Road Race'. Look it up (I loved that game)!
I absolutely love Joe Danger and am really looking forward to what these guys make for the PS4. Another British developer based in Guildford, its a smallish town just outside London (30 minutes drive from me), and it seems completely ordinary, but if you look at all the development teams that have been based there, (Bullfrog, Media Molecule, Hello games and dozens more), it really is quite astonishing.
I have never liked Nintendo's attitude. They have always thought they know better than everyone else and do their own thing. Sometimes it works out (Wii), but a lot of the time they just seem to think "we are the great Nintendo, and whatever we do is the right way to do it"! Like when everyone went to cd based software and Nintendo decided that cartridges were still the best way, result: some N64 games cost £95 (more than double the competitions' prices at the time). Th...
Major Nelson has already confirmed on Twitter that Microsoft will be at TGD (although I really don't know why)..
Like the motion controlled games they copied from the original (PS2) eyetoy?
I've been gaming for 33 years and I can't stand Nintendo (software or hardware).
I doubt it, I pre-ordered at the beginning of April.
I still use cd's, they are way better value. I will always prefer to have a physical copy of anything rather than digital.
Heavy Rain was one of my favourite games this generation. I can't understand whats so "gimmicky' about it, it was a fresh, new way of telling a heart-rending story and was simply brilliant in the way it went about that. If this game is half as good, it's going to be special, I trust quantic dream to deliver great quality.
Its the eSRAM that is overheating not the DDR3. Also, with regards to the latency, whilst true that GDDR5 has higher latency per cycle, it is also much faster than DDR3 which means that it performs more cycles per second. It is the per second figure that is important and there is virtually no difference between the two in this measurement. Latency of PS4 RAM is NOT an issue in comparison to the Xbone.
Microsoft enters the car market:
Please buy or new Microsoft car, the BS 250. It only comes with one engine option but its an amazingly powerful engine, due to the fact that its a:
'6L V12' or a '4L V8' or a '2.5L twin turbo' or a '1.4i dohc' or its electric, I can't remember, but it will be 600hp or 525hp or 120hp, no it's 740hp and will be made 40x more powerful by it's unique use of 'the garage'!
You are ...
I want fight night also, the last one was great. UFC is fun and I'll probably end up buying it but I'd rather have a top notch boxing game.
How is it 'denial' if NOTHING that a console manufacturers first-party game lineup interests you in the slightest? It's a point of view, no denial here, just an opinion based on my own interests and preferences.
I know most of the gaming world love Nintendo, Mario and the other huge franchises they own, I respect the fact that they're well produced quality titles, but they don't do anything for me at all. They leave me feeling cold and angry and annoy the hell out...
I'm 40 years old, I'm about as mature as I'm going to get. Some people say it takes a lame-ass comment about maturity to feel superior in your choices.
Green blood is the lamest idea in videogames history. If you believe violence in video games is.bad for your system, don't allow it. To unilaterally decide that green blood is less corrupting is nonsense.
Because Nintendo do nothing to ensure that its resources are gathered ethically. There have been several attempts to make them take a more pro-active stance but they don't. They currently have a set of 'guidelines' for their component manufacturers, but don't enforce them in any way.
