I can't see how anyone could hate this design. It's innovative and futuristic and makes it basically silent

Thing is you're always going to get the voices airing their issues as they will be the only ones who have reason to comment so it seems like there's a lot of issues. When in fairness it could be 1 in 1000 have any issues but because there's a few comments it looks widespread. It's electronics, both consoles will have minor issues early on.
How did they mess up? You can't have 100 million at launch especially in a pandemic. Whether you believe it or not it still means less people can be working. More were ordered first day than in 3 months of the PS4. Unprecedented demand.

Just didn't think people wanted it I guess. Console gamers don't really use a monitor which you could use 1440 (personally I am actually on a monitor though) The vast majority of console gamers are on a TV in 1080 or 4K
It's an incentive for joining the new generation. They aren't just gonna offer up 20 games of that caliber for nothing.
That God of War number is astonishing. That means its in the top 5 or 10 sales of the generation and it's only on one platform.
This may be the best looking game to date I've seen on any platform and this is on release! Imagine once devs get to grips with the system.

It's 2020. I honestly never used it on PS4. my phone loads pages instantly, so why would i spend time typing what i wanted on the controller then waiting for pages to load

I guess it's down to desire for it, i agree it should have it, but the vast majority of PC Gamers are on a monitor, of which you get 1440 ones of course and it's a sweet spot for resolution/fps. Where as the vast majority of console gamers are on a TV, of which there aren't 1440 ones. I guess they didn't think it was needed (it should be an option though, but that just means a lot of optimisation work for a very limited market
I mean it will be the same price, so if you can, why not get it now and enjoy for longer
