True but those 2 characters didn't become the main entire premise of a Metal Gear Solid game. They added an Ape Escape minigame to MGS3. I don't see how Kojima didn't add a zombie minigame to the MGS games after the zombie gimmick blowout of 2008 of COD World at War.
I hope its not Frostbite and I don't know why anybody would want it to be. It simply does not take enough advantage of PS4 hardware, and that is going by the games made by the creators of that goddamn engine.
And if this is going to truly be a PS4 exclusive, they better not waste it on other such multiplatform game engines like Unreal Engine 4 or the awful Cryengine (lol which we know it most certainly will not be the one he will go for).
Isn't it just a bunch of small maps split into different areas though? Kind of like The Witcher 3 and Skellige. Like one does not simply walk into Kaer Morhan's map. You have to go there first as part of the story and can then fast travel to it afterwards.
That is what this game is and they are just adding up the mass of all areas.

You have to admire that it isn't a sequel and brand new IP. Shame it looks so uninteresting and as purchaseble to me than the likes of Watchdogs 1/2, Rainbow Six New One, Ghost Recon Blaine Countyland or The Division.

If will be interesting to see if Insomniac do anything for the Pro. They usually never go back to revisit a single player game they have launched, having moved onto other projects.
Even without any patch integration, some games may just get an instant boost. Rember Killzone Shadow Fall, Knack and Infamous Second Son all had unlocked framerates that never dipped below 30fps. These games may simply perform better with the extra horsepower boost.

It took them over 6 months after release after a release date delay after another release date delay to get that weird 20fps triple buffering bug squashed. 9 months on from that and they finally fixed a lot more of the major game breaking glitches (Although my horse's tail still never came back as of patch 1.20).
I'm sure the FPS will get a boost from the extra horsepower though.

For a tenner or 15 quid, yes. Anything higher than that, no way.
Some of those are big names they have literally done nothing with this past 15 years and when they did they were impressively mediocre games. I don't know what has changed recently that would make them do anything meaningful with them now.

The exact same thing can be said about the Wii U. E3 and Gamescom 2012 came and went and still no price or release date. It wasn't until Sep, only 2 months before launch, they did an information blowout.

The game is more than likely 1080p 60fps on standard PS4 even with Unreal Engine 4. I'm sure they are undecided what to do with even more power. They will come up with something at, or soon after, release. Higher resolution textures perhaps. This game supports PlayStation VR too. Has that ever been showcased yet?
