Oh well there was still some gameplay of Mass Effect so that makes it instantly better than EA's entire presence at E3 AND GC this year. Oh and at least it still was better and had more gameplay than the worse games console reveal in history, the Xbone.
Depending on the success of Crash on PS4 (sadly by some useless Activision port studio, fingers crossed), I hope they negotiate the 3 original Spyro games for a remaster too in 2 years time.
People don't realise that Microsoft made a massive blunder though. The same people are screaming praise at Microsoft for being "honest" about Scorpio. The same people are going insane over Scorpio's spec. The same people are shouting from the rooftops that Microsoft have chose to make a next gen console instead.
And I will say it again. How can this console achieve true greatness when the games still have to be made on the console that is now 1/3 the power...
Aww poor little lzygmrs.com didn't get an invite to the event hahaha.
Nah... more like Scorpio stole its own thunder when they confirmed the sublimely weak, in 2013 and even weaker in late 2017, next gen Xbone console will still need to be supported with Scorpio games.
Unless of course they 180 on that decision and make Scorpio an actual next gen console and then watch all the fans 180ing on their "at least Microsoft was honest about Scorpio at E3 2016" statements.
Why, because Insomniac Games' incredible development turnaround time and swiftness translates to the complete opposite now for some reason like a game made by Remedy? You have no idea what you are talking about so why make yourself look so stupid and uninformed?
I was actually at a huge Halo 3 midnight launch event in Dublin where they took over a nightclub down the road from the big Gamestop store that was launching the game. The guy who plays McGuyver was supposed to be there but never showed up (didn't stop every website the next day saying he was there though). I was the only one at the event that kept pointing out the widescreen issue where I was constantly told to keep quiet. I played a bit of splitscreen deathmatch and annihilated every pl...
Lol finally proof that people (even hardcore Xbox fans) weren't lying or bluffing when they said they won't touch a next gen console that looks as ugly as a Betamax player from the 70s.
Bravo Microsoft. There wasn't a need to rush out and buy an Xbone in 2013 for Forza 5, or 2014 for Sunset Overdrive, or Halo 5 in 2015 (3 major actual exclusives since launch that aren't indies or remasters, count them) but NOW is the time to bite finally and get one....... in the US. ...
The only thing that IS obvious is that Microsoft need to cut ties with the, even more incredibly weak in late 2017, ddr3 Xbone if they want Scorpio to be an "obvious" and noticeable difference to the 4.2 teraflop PS4.
PS4 has just been pushed to 3 times more powerful than the Xbone while using next gen GDDR5 tech, Scorpio isn't even double the power of this PS4 and will use the same standard architecture (but hampered by the original limited Xbone of course). ...
How many times do you people have to be told? Microsoft has already said that Scorpio games must be compatible and also released on the original severely weak ddr3 Xbone also. Can you explain how is that going to help elevate Scorpio to the next gen status that you claim?
Gamingbolt still drip feeding the same damn interview with a RIDE 2 developer with a separate article for each question? What a surprise.
@BarneyS Not only that, he should be asking why make a big deal out of GDDR5 next gen Scorpio when he could have bought at GDDR5 next gen console 3 years ago called the PS4. ALSO why make a big deal out of the GDDR5 Scorpio when its games are still going to be held back by the weaker, older DDR3 of the current Xbox because games apparently will still have to be able to run on it.
But don't worry, I'm sure he will have the pitchfork and torches out saying its PS4 holding back ...
Lol is that them specifically asking how Sony is going to sell POLYGON, the biased moron gaming "journalists", a PS4............. because that IS a good question. They are asking an impossible question though as the answer simply is "we, Polygon, are going to hate on it no matter what kind of PlayStation it is.
Err there was AR in Sony games since Eyetoy in 2003 and very good AR that holds up well 13 years later I might add. But this is typical of a Japanese man in Sony to forget something like this made by a UK based studio.
I remember when Phil Harrison (who is British) was doing loads of interviews for Singstar PS3 back in the day, the amount of times he had to stop the interviewers because he had to explain that Singstar had been around for years and is massive in Europe alre...
I would blame them with that Frostbite engine though. By now Bioware should have developed their own game engine that gets to take advantage of the way they design their games.
And its ready to go gold in 2 months time??? Didn't think so. Next Summer/Autumn it is then.
Haha same here. No thanks Forbes, I will only turn off Adblock for websites that I respect and want ad revenue that they ACTUALLY really need to survive.
Yet it doesn't mean a thing if developers still have to target Xbone's ancient DDR3 architecture too. I guess Scorpio xboners won't care either way since they will finally get to play standard current gen games (or at least games going forward) at native 1080p now such as The Witcher 3, Quantum Break and Batman Arkham Knight (forget the 4k thing, lets just focus on getting to the TVs of 2006 standard first lol).
The twist is it turns out its actually a Fallout VR demo and the game ends with a nuke dropping suddenly. :)
Lol I figured that out after the last 3 Angry Joe reviews of Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline and Star Wars Battlefield (I know that was deliberate) that pointed out this rip off mess.
