This is entirely untrue. There was never a 5000 dollar Kinect prototype that could somehow use a wider field of view to scan and import generated in-game items and advance AI by over a decade. I collected hundreds of physical games for the Switch. Even got the whole LimitedRunGames collection for the first 2 years. Love the Switch to death but if I need to be tied to a digital storefront, the only one I trust to let me keep my games forever is Steam. That's exactly what's happening. They're pushing up game costs to make subscription services make more sense. Makes no sense to buy a 100 dollar game when you get the game in an $30/m subscription.
