If any company had a single successful cloud streaming platform, they'd be bragging about their numbers so we'd know they were the first to be successful. But that hasn't happened because NOBODY likes, wants or supports cloud gaming. It's dystopian, it's garbage, and it's pointless.
Anyway, this article was written by Jon Scarr, who was a huge supporter of Stadia and even got a Stadia tattoo. He seems to love using things that nobody likes, since he ...
I’m not disagreeing with you, but if you’ve got something as big as GTA Online or Steam itself, making single player games would be a tough ask for investors.
The consequence of a successful live service game is that the studio has to focus on only that, hence why Last of Us Factions 2 was scrapped. I’m sure the devs would rather be making Bully 2 instead of GTA5 skins in 2025 but here we are.
If you cancel all these nonsense tiered subscriptions and instead just buy your games, you’ll be a happier person.
Imagine if Sony sued every company that made a Gos of War clone during the PS2 era?
This sets a dangerous precedent and I genuinely can’t believe so many of the comments here are taking Sony’s side.
…on second thought, yes I can.
I’m pretty against game streaming as a concept, but it’s worth mentioning that GeForce Now gives you access to a 5080 GPU which is pretty cool imo.
I might grab a month of it just for Battlefield.
The volume of high quality games being released right now is not higher than the PS4 generation. or PS360. Definitely not PS2. Not N64/PS1 either. Even the NES had more high quality games than the PS5.
This is the worst generation that's happened in my lifetime. It's actually brutal if you're not into open world games, soul-less souls-likes and microtransaction infested multiplayer slop. Where the hell's the arcade racing games at? rhythm games? cool puzzle games?

Such a shame this isn’t Skate 4.
I would have gladly spent the hundred bucks for a full Skate game with a single player campaign and no micro transactions.
This free to play mobile game trash is not Skate.
Glad we got Tony Hawk though!
Dude it runs at sub-1080p, usually near 720p and practically never hits 60fps, and the PS5 Pro version runs worse than the PS5 version. That's inexcusable.
Its not "saying bad shit about stuff", its warning people to either buy it on PC or wait for some patches
You must be 16 years old, max
Shenmue 3 came out in 2020, it's not a PS2 game.
Unless you mean Shenmue 1, which was a Dreamcast game that never released for PS2.
In a way UE5 really is just Dreams 2
I've watched a few video reviews and read a couple reviews, and im still shocked that not one person has complained about how long it takes for this game to get going.
It takes HOURS of missions where you walk around, carrying containers of wine, slowly walking and talking, followed by missions slowly carrying pig carcases, then slowly walking through mines, eventually getting to the town where you slowly walk and talk with people or slowly ride a horse to a waypoint wh...
The truth is that it was an XBox exclusive that came out while the exclusives were still dripping out of Microsoft. With PlayStation being the dominant platform, everybody on the internet wanted every Xbox exclusive to fail, so as a result they got more negative publicity and barely any positive publicity.
HellBlade 2 was developed by an extremely small team of passionate developers who wanted to make a sweet single player experience that could show off what they can produc...
Consoles don’t have shader compilation stutter because they don’t need to compile shaders. The game is made specifically for that hardware.
It’s why I have a PS5. My gaming PC absolutely demolishes the PS5 but I refuse to play any UE4 games on it. UE5 is hit and miss, depending if the devs have a lengthy full-game shader precomp when you boot or not. If not, PS5 all the way.
I still feel nauseous from that The Dead Space remake on PC. Though that ALSO had...
You want your game rendering at 240p and upscaling to 1080p when it can render natively at 720p? For a graphically mediocre budget tech demo?
Very well deserved. Arcade racers are a dead genre for some reason, so it’s nice to see the last big budget one is killing it
Lots of people use their VR headsets nearly exclusively as a Beat Saber machine
Burnout and Motorstorm were by far the best arcade racers. Forza Horizon is up there too.
Need For Speed is like that guy you used to kinda be friends with in high school who’s now a broke homeless drug addict but you still nod when you walk by, hoping he’ll get better. But he never will
There’s no way the Luna player base is more than 50,000 people. I’d love to see their numbers
My year and a half old relatively inexpensive laptop can emulate nearly any PS3 game at 1440p/60. The only reason the PS5 doesn't have PS3 emulation is money and lawfair.
