Personally I am not huge fan of Nintendo, but I respect what they have done.
They did help revive the industry after the crash. Also, many gamers today were raised on Nintendo when they were children. Nintendo also has some of the most well known franchises in gaming with Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda. It's not too hard to see we a lot of gamers a devoted to them.
I really hope it is Darkstalkers 4.
I have one and I love it. There great games you can get right now, like Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, and Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention.
There will be some great games this holiday season too, Assassin's Creed Liberation, Persona 4: The Golden, and Call of Duty.
I just hope that the memory cards see a price cut soon.
I admit that the review is one year late, but that doesn't make it any less relevant. Not everyone had a chance to pick up Alice: Madness Returns, so the review is geared more towards those gamers.
I remember playing the demo and then buying Asura's Wrath a day later. I was able to forgive its shortcomings as a game because I absolutely love anime. If Asura's Wrath launched at $40 and marketed as an anime/game hybrid, sales would have been a lot better.
Fatal Frame 2 is some scary stuff. Too bad the remake won't make it stateside.
@Jetlian
In terms of history, Tekken and DOA are both clones of VF. I have to disagree that Tekken has both beat when it comes to depth.
double post
Despite what people say, Dead or Alive 5 has always had a deep combat system. It may not be as deep as Virtua Fighter, but it is a lot deeper than Tekken. Pretty much you come for the jiggle and stay for the combat system.
The movement does look odd, but the sprites look fantastic. As long as the gameplay is solid, I would definitely play this game.
The only thing I am going to do is cry until this game gets localized.
The Portal Robots might be funny to watch. I think BlazBlue would be a good one, especial since the creator wants an anime version done.
Not having clones is not a bad thing. Who cares if your the only game in town, more money for you to make. I just hope they don't abuse it.
Sadly, the author does have a point. Not too many people want to intentionally be scared, it makes them feel powerless. Personally, I love horror. It can be jump-out horror, but I prefer psychological horror. That stuff tends to stay with you way after the game ends.
Since when did rumor=truth? I hope Versus XIII isn't canceled, we will see at TGS. If Versus is dead, then Nomura will just go on to Kindom Hearts 3.
Fez? Just make sure Fish and Polytron learns to make a patch that, you knows, work.
Fish is going by the 'good enough' rule. Only 1% percent is effected, so he doesn't care. But you know who would care is 1% percent of their customers were affected by a broken patch? A Japanese developer.
Corpse Party was a great horror game. I might check out a few of these games, the look interesting.
There is nothing wrong with a little confidence, but come on man. Words like that will only make people want to see you fail, and this being COD, I am sure the story will be the equivalent like a Michael Bay film, like the the rest of the series.
I'm just not into the whole British punk feel that Ninja Theory is using. I am getting the impression that the folks at Ninja Theory weren't fans of the original games and are just doing this for a paycheck. The game might have alright sales, but I would not be surprised if Ninja Theory closes shop after DmC.
