Or maybe they make swtor content people want it. I know I do.
It's also coming out on PC and their FAQ states they haven't decided on other versions yet. So, yeah, it's not a Sony Game.
Not necessarily. It's a remake, not a remaster. Gameplay may change more than we think; after all, not everyone wants a game that plays like 20 years ago. Same with shenmue 3. If they want to broaden their audience, they may need to alter the gameplay a bit.
Well, I dunno. I'd guessed it was Ghost Recon a few seconds after gameplay started. So it's not such a drastic change. Still an impressive evolution though.
Age isn't an issue anymore though. A lot of people play video games, even in their 50s or 60s. We just don't make games that would appeal to a broader audience, no matter what the age is. It has more to do with the themes offered in current video games than anything else. imo anyway.
You're aware he had nothing to do with Unity and has nothing to do with Ubisoft anymore, right ?
Well, what you think of AC is not my concern. And his point still stands, we don't have a Titanic.
Your point being ? why do you think he picked GTA ? he compared the biggest game to the biggest movie... he's not trying to say AC is better.
Steam is software, PS4 is hardware. That's kinda pointless to compare.... how many of those steam users can run The Witcher 3 ? How many of those PS4 host several accounts ?
Shouldn't matter too much... only half the players who started ME3 finished it, and most of them picked the destroy ending. So if they keep this one in their continuity, it should be good enough for most people.
For clarification, he just said that cause there were 2 TVs in the meeting room...
"If you want to consider Pillars a new IP instead of the Baldurs Gate successor that it is, then the PS4 has Bloodborne which is also technically a new IP. Invisible Inc is also on it's way to the PS4. Cities Skylines is a SimCity ripoff. Hero's of the Storm is Blizzards version of Sony All-Stars. "
Are you even serious ?
Let's simplify things : 49 good games on PS4 this year so far, 29 on xbox one, 12 on Wii U, and 67 on PC.
Heroes of the storm. And its free.
As for "big name", it depends what you call big name. Games like Cities Skyline, Invisible Inc, or Pillars of Eternity are popular PC games without a number after them. And they scored pretty well on metacritic. In fact, based on metacritic scores, they would all be in the top 15 best PS4 games of 2015, the top 10 best Xone games of 2015, and even the top 5 best wiiu games of 2015.
It mostly speaks volumes about your personal preferences.
Yeah, the marketing for DAI dwarfed the markerting for the likes of Titanfall, Destiny, Call of Duty, or Watch-dogs... /s
That's a bit misleading though. There are just too many cheap games on Steam. According to the steam store, you can get 3425 games for less than 10 euros. And most gamers have never even heard of at least 2000 of them...so yeah, the average sales per game is going to be pretty low , cause you don't get to see a Lunch Truck Tycoon among more expensive games... that doesn't mean games like portal or magicka didn't sell millions.
A more interesting chart would be a top 10...
There's a Witcher 3 race controversy ??
It's nice to see this feature again. Never understood why MS stopped it after doing it for a handful of games 8 years ago..
@kraenk12 It's acceptable. not fine. And definitly not better than in "all other RPGs"....I haven't played "all other RPGs", but I can tell you the horse controls much better in DAI and even Skyrim. They didn't decide to make the horse follow roads automatically by accident.
Swimming is also far from perfect, and sometimes it feels like those who played Euro Truck Simulator get an unfair advantage when it comes to moving Geralt around in obstructed ways...
Hmmm ? I have no problem with turn-based RPGs either. "Change the gameplay a bit" doesn't mean make it a real time at all cost or whatever. Turnbased combat is ok and still used a lot these days, I don't see that as being speficically "old school".
However lots of other stuff in gaming didn't really age well, whether its the way games control, the UI and how you use it in game (HUD, map, inventory), the amount of grinding, fast travel, the way ...
