@_-EDMIX-_ "Nope. It was a good call. It was a risky, but worthy investment in the companies and gaming's future.
Its like saying putting CD in PS1 was a bad idea because of the cost, soooooo to save cost lets just not have CD in PS1 and not have FFVII and many of the games that were ONLY possible with more space? "
That's completely different. First of all, PS1 didn't come out at 500 and 600 bucks, it also wasn't the only console bringing C...
It was still a horrible decision from a video game business perspective. They struggled to impose a new format that the competition didn't support, it was simply too early.
Think about it this way: if they PS3 had come out when it did but with a dvd player and a $400 price point, it would have absolutely crushed the 360 with its name alone, and I'm willing to bet the gen would have ended like the PS2 gen (and probably like this gen will) with a huge PS domination. <...
But what constant tweaking installing and fixing ? I guess i'm just lucky then. I personally just buy, click ton install, and then click to launch. I doubt time has anything to do with it.
Well, if people think time management is an issue, they're wrong. 99% of the games I install and play on PC work instantly, and only require maybe a minute to change a few graphical options. Just cause there's an occasional batman arkham knight doesn't mean it's the norm. To be honest, once the game is installed it's a lot quicker to get in a pc game than a console game.
Well, it's not that simple. COD doesn't sell as well on pc as it does on console, but it's still quite popular (4.5 million for MW2, 3+ million for Black ops and MW3...). And i'd say the main reason why is because people who want some multiplayer FPS on pc play CS:GO. The peak for CS:go today was 542k players....
That's 10 times more than the daily peak of the PS4 version of BF4 and BF hardline combined. ( ht...
Steamspy sure gives impressive numbers. Coop FPS especially are impressive.
12.5 million for left 4 dead 2
4.5 million for payday 2
3 million for dead island
5 million for borderlands 2
3 million for killing floor...
And steam itself also offers some statistics. While it doesn't say how well games are selling, it gives the peak for the day. And 30+ games get more than 10k players simultaneously at some point in the day. Some are f2...
They should resolve the fast travel bug created by the skellige DLCs first...
Why shouldn't they show an N7 badge ? It's not like there's 1 single N7 badge in the galaxy and that it was retired after Shepard died. It's not a Lakers jersey and it's not a spartan tag... Anderson, Shepard, Vega, even Kai Leng went through N7 training, it's just special forces.
And in what ending are the reapers still a threat ? And even if they were, they've never been out of the milky way in the last 50 million years, so why would they travel ...
The AI grunts in titanfall were not a major issue either. It was basically like mobs in MOBAs, except far less relevant.
Well of course there shouldn't be issues at launch, no matter what platform you're playing on...I never said it was ok to have problems, or even that these problems were gone, I just said that it's getting better.
N4G, the only place in the world where saying "32% is better than 29%" means you think 32% is good.
It's getting better though, with updated drivers, and the answer of the developers, it seems like it's slowly getting better. The game was at 29% positive reviews yesterday, now it's back at 32%. And we all know people with negative experiences are more likely to report it, so it's kinda positive to see it rising slowly. Still a long way to go though.
I can think of plenty of games that would be amazing with hololens.... games like Diablo, Tekken, Supreme Commander, League of Legends, Shadowrun, yu gi oh, micro machines, a tycoon game, sports game.... I see no reason why it wouldn't be as fun as playing on a TV. Once the price is reasonable, this kind of device could very well become a major actor in home entertainment.
Well, it's still a small studio and they didn't become billionaire overnight with a million sales on 3 platform... Other small studios like Harebrained or Inxile also made several kickstarters that were successful...so resorting to crowdfunding again is ok.
But the problem I personally have with this is the price. 50 pounds just to get a key is insane, most crowdfunded games have keys as reward between 15 and 30 . I doubt most "crowdfunders" will take a risk...
So you're saying they couldn't use "debut" cause the original exists, but they can use "first" ? That doesn't make sense.
There's a much simpler explaination : the reason why they said first is because there's gonna be a second and/or a third; and the reason why they didn't use console debut is because they say that when the game already exists on PC or arcade (or will get a simultaneous release on PC).
Well, things are not that simple. Taken directly from the kickstarter page :
"Will there be an Xbox/Wii U/Linux/Mac version for Shenmue 3?
Currently we are planning development only for PC (Windows) and PS4. Other platforms have not been decided yet."
Not decided doesn't mean no.
As for FF...

Why not ? Yu think people won't buy a PS4 when FF7 comes out even though they know it's gonna release on other platforms later ? I doubt it.
Same here, I don't think people will stop buying xbox ones for halo 5 just because it might come out on pc one or two years later.
That didn't stop MS from selling 360s and 360 game last gen even though many came out on pc later (Alan Wake, Gears, Viva Pinata, Fable...).
@Dragoknight Then why is it "first" on ps4 ?
@nix,"you have to understand that you're playing games like Tomb Raiders because of games like FFVII came out first and opened the gates and hearts of many gamers who are still passionate about games because of such games."
Well, Tomb Raider existed before FFVII.
@IVanSpinal yes you can...Maybe you can't in some games, but I did in Titanfall and didn't do worse than when I played FPS on consoles. So if the game is made with both control method in mind, you can use both.
@Loktai The same can be said today when you compare an 800 bucks pc to a 400 bucks console.
People just like to buy what's cheaper most of the time, and not what's gonna be cheaper after 2 years.
