What a stupid move. Even if this developer was innocent, there is no way they could convince people otherwise.
Should have left well enough alone.
It wasn't only the deals. Valve made it easy while not gouging gamers with crap like the "online convenience fee".
They did have a very rough start, but they didn't have to pander to investors yearly and were able to play the long game.
Valve got to this point by slowly building Steam and its reputation.
What makes you think those exclusives you mentioned are worth it? I couldn't care less about them.
Just like you couldn't care less about any PC exclusives.
I know its hard to consider that any gamer would have zero interest in any console exclusive, but its true.
What would be the point in playing an MMO?
I could see why one would choose to but for me its like "god mode", in crossing that line the game ceases to be fun.
If it became no fun then the money would be wasted. That's just me, but, that really doesn't mean I couldn't, for some reason, find a justification for buying an account. It wouldn't be a consideration if I just wanted to avoid the grind though.
That's the last place you would want to set Fallout. The Chinese are less about being an enemy and more about being the embodiment of our (US) own irrational fears.
Fallout is essentially a satirical look at America and everything revolves around that concept. Changing it at that core level would destroy its identity.
I admit, on the surface it sounds like a good idea to set it in China, but it would be worse than setting it in any place other than the US...
Is this controller going to be compatible with PS4/Xone? I assume not. So it primarily targeted at the PC audience, which has several options to choose from, and in this market it might overtake both if its good.
In the console market, probably not, but I don't think that's the target audience.
Also, Valve has been exploring different controller concepts for quite a few years.
Or both? I mean its not unreasonable to assume that it could also be a good controller.
What's wrong with 'not' having them?
You aren't being forced to use it, so...
@-Foxtrot
So why do you spend all your bubbles, on nearly every article concerning this controller, when you don't like it?
Seriously, move along already. Stop acting like you are persecuted for not liking it. Don't pretend that trying to offer criticism on a product without trying it is the same as being interested in it, or thinking it might be a good idea. It's not.
You honestly act as though this controller is a threat to you ...
Pretty much that^
There's a place for it, but not in every shooter. Not in any "shooter" really. Survival/Horror? Sure.
Good idea.
Even with that theme, there still remains a problem; the three acts weren't written at the same time, but as each game was developed. Without a plan they ended up with an entirely contrived plot in ME3.
You pretty much missed the point. Its just not your cup of tea. Gameplay took a backseat to story, that's what BioWare is good at. If you didn't care for the story, well, too bad.
Also doesn't help that you only played ME2.
Not trying to be harsh, but you want to get rid of the only thing that was worth anything in the series.
@-Foxtrot
Why does this matter to you? We get it, you hate this controller.
You like the controller you have, that's just fine, what does that have to do with Valve releasing one?
Seems odd that you're debating something that you have no interest it at all.
I could think of other SW games better than just another LucasArts TPS.
Notice the money Star Citizen is raking in, then ask yourself; How was LucasArts so blind? How did they not see there was still a market for a space-combat sim?
The answer is the reason they deserved to be shutdown in the first place.
As to 1313, it will return probably along with the new movies in some way.
I'm white so its pretty easy for me to talk about in the context of freedom of speech without considering the deeper effect it may have on others.
You may not be able to destroy an idea, but some ideas really should just never be accepted.
I used to think racism was a small problem, then we elected our first black President. Now I see we have a LONG way to go. I see that all those "little" things weren't so "little" to others.
@SonyKong64
The US has its skeletons, like most other countries do, but nothing on the scale of Hitler. To even suggest so shows how ignorant of history you really are.
@LoveOfTheGame
It was Czechoslovakia which was pretty close to Germany anyway. Hitler was a hero at the time and even he was surprised. Poland was invaded.
@topic
When racism doesn't apply to you its very easy to dismiss things like symbols or &quo...
A fair point. Though I think his early work was great, the latter stuff really wasn't. He really thrived in the "Cold War era" setting IMO.
Simply untrue. The persons responsible lack any and all empathy, Doom had nothing to do with it at all.
There is absolutely NO evidence supporting your conclusion. These people were messed up.
No, but it won't happen anyway.
