If Halo: ODST is $60, how much will Halo Reach be since it will actually be a full game? $90?
IMO, ODST should only be $30. The devs already said the game will be "7 hours", which in 'dev talk' equates to just over 4 hours... so I think ODST should really be priced a bit higher than the GTA DLC since it has a new co-op mode.
However, the 'game' will sell like hotcakes at $60, so MS would be stupid to sell it at half the price. If people pay $60 for it and a...
"And where is Heavy Rain? Too non-traditional for you?"
Heavy Rain isn't coming out this Fall as far as I know.
No, the speech was targeting 360's userbase... 12 year-olds.
He mentions fallout, but it's not on the list...
Nice list, though. I wouldn't have put GTA4 and FFX on the list, and would replace them with Fallout and Noby Noby Boy.
It's a bit different... in Cloverfield, you understand that a monster did it because it's causing mayhem throughout the city. In the ad, a ninja runs around NYC and destroys the statue of liberty for no apparent reason.
Obviously, most people who would see the ad if it aired in America would have no idea why the hell a ninja would do that, and since a lot of people are sensitive to stuff like this, they'd get upset.
Even if you and I understand it ties in with the g...
Even though it's part of the game, it's pretty tasteless considering your target demographic has no idea why a ninja destroyed a national monument in NYC.
And there's no way this will ever be aired in America. Remember when Sony pulled the KZ2 ads from bus stops because a teacher complained that they were frightening children... even though it was just a helghast helmet?
Having said that, the ad is really well-made. I never see cool ads like this for PS3 games, altho...
He's just trying to get you worked up (and it seems to be working). You have to admit, some of the "open zone dwellers" can be funny.
lol, this won't end well.
I wasn't addicted, but it was fun, easy, and the rank system gets a lot of people hooked.
I hope I don't get lumped in with some of the PS3 fanboys here, but I think some of you guys are getting a little too excited. If you read the article, it doesn't even sound like he played part of the game, much less the whole thing to declare it "shooter of the year". Sorry, but there are at least 5 great shooters that will be released in 09 along with ODST, and I find it peculiar that the writer announces it to be shooter of the year based off interviews with the devs and not a su...
Crackdown is awesome, the only thing I want in Crackdown 2 is more evolved climbing and leveling systems. It'd be cool if you choose a field to specialize in instead of just leveling everything up quickly.
I don't consider it a full game because it recycles the MP from Halo 3. I'm not saying it's not worth full price, but if MW2 had the exact same MP as MW1, a lot of people wouldn't consider it a new game... mainly because there's such an emphasis on MP in Halo and CoD games.
Yeah... what's funnier is nobody gave two sh!ts about this when it was actually shown, but now it's amazing since it's a 360 peripheral.
I hope this motion control stuff is just a phase.
Dude, this is N4G. What were you expecting, a discourse on the human condition?
Yeah, it's hard to believe how long ago GT5p came out.
EDIT: lol @ your disagree
Both of those links say the same thing...
'"We're are only working on the 360 version of Lost Planet 2 right now," Takeuchi told us during Capcom's Captivate event last week.
The news comes despite rumours that a PS3 version is soon to be announced.'
Why would he say "yeah, we're working on that PS3 version that isn't going to be announced until E3"?
Shouldn't this be titled "Top 5 Upcoming Shooters?" Also, at the top it says it's a list of FPSs, but they include Lost Planet?
1 of them won't drop until 2010, so they should replace it with KZ2.
Man, I didn't expect third party devs to do this... I wonder if they'd release it on 360 as well?
I'd like some DMC, Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Resident Evil, Breath of Fire.. basically everything everyone's been naming. I'd also like some other big publishers to release some remakes along with sony's first party games.
I'm kinda in the same boat, but I've been playing some older games on 360.
You didn't answer his question. It's called "Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire", not "Star Wars Episode VI: Shadows of the Empire".
Try again, this time with a game that recycles it's most used feature from an older game (which it refers to in the title)... was referred to as an expansion pack by the developers.. and still sold at full price.
GO!
