Ok, that's cool. I know I can turn it off in SP (which I will), but I was worried it would hold people's hands too much in ranked races.
Love the Giant Bomb previews... game is looking great, nothing much else to add.
Oh, the UI is very impressive IMO.
EDIT: Wait, "auto-brake"?!? wtf, I thought this was a sim. Can you only disable it in private matches? I hope there's a "hardcore" mode for ranked matches that don't have any type of drive assist. At least there's dedicated servers.
I think it was a good choice. I read that a lot of the devs at Ruffian were from Realtime Worlds? Regardless, RW left an awesome foundation for Ruffian.. it will be hard to screw up. Plus, RW is most likely too busy with APB to give Crackdown 2 the TLC it deserves.
I guess this will be my '09 Valkyria Chronicles. When I saw a preview of VC last year I was like "eh...", but broke down and picked it up after it got great reviews... and loved it. Very good game.

Yeah, the halo universe is immersive. It's also nice having a break from all gray/brown shooters that have come out this gen.

Again, if MS really thought bungie was brilliant, there would be no need to pad review scores with what's basically a bribe. The game is obviously fun since, as you said, it's pretty much been the most played game on live and has a huge community. Not sure why the swag bags were needed...
A brilliant development studio doesn't require $800 swag bags to be sent with a review copy of their game... I guess MS was just doing that for fun.
