Comparing Driveclub to sim racers is like comparing astrology to astronomy. Let me guess, it will be PS4 greatest racer until the next Gran Turismo in 2020 (?) Love my PS4 but seriously, plenty of better racers out there on PC, XB1 and PS3.
No. It should always cost less than PS4 based on specs alone.
Welcome to n4gdriveclub.com!
The only reason Xbox is in the Japanese market is to develop relationships with developers. Xbox's competitive markets are the US and UK.
Glad I'm not the only one saying it. The game is old news and is not that great, perhaps just good. But somehow it keeps being highlighted here. Project CARS is on the way; we can move on.
The fact that reviewers have gotten tougher on AAAs is a good thing. I've been tracking this since the early 90s and AAA and exclusives always got higher scores than they deserved. I do think "Hype" has become a bigger thing. These young kids and their fancy Nintendo Xboxes and SEGA Playstations!
Reading these comments is painful. Forza is the car enthusiast standard. Attested by people that actually drive and review cars. Drive Club was a disappointment; attested by its developers and confirmed by reviewers. I own a PS4. I'm not pretending it's better than Forza. Sony's strategy of releasing GT years into a consoles lifetime is awful. Turn 10 has the correct approach. Until GT is released...move along folks.
Yeah, the games weren't there. Almost bought an XBOX for Forza. Yes this is a subjective matter, but credible gaming sites have mentioned this.
The hype is ridiculous. All of the sudden Street Fighter is a coveted exclusive? Seriously?
Exclusives get better scores due to the nature of the industry. I think I posted about this 4 years ago. It seems like reviewers can't downgrade exclusives as much, specially if they're big AAA. The fact that we're even talking about Street Fighter...I can't remember similar hype for SF4; again, that's the industry.
Can we move forward? Having these debates last gen made sense. Multiplats looked better on 360, 1st party looked better on PS3 most of the time. Fast forward, the GPUs are made by the same company. PS4 is better. Games will look better. No need for rocket scientists!
Sony fans, 360 was better. Sony had maybe 10 games I bothered with. Yes, I owned both consoles. Fast forward to 2013. MS created a console for 2010. Who cared for Kinect in 2011? That was last gen. Sony focused on the right thing; (relative) power! You can add peripherals if the market wants it. You can't place all eggs in one basket; yes, it worked for Nintendo...once! MS won't come back out of this one. I got a PS4 and not even Forza will make me pay $400 for a less powerful system....
MS fought with the king of the hill, Sony, without Japan on their SECOND attempt. That is impressive. They set the tone/bar for last gen. Yes, PS3 had great gems. But Multiplat was simply better on 360. Most of my friends played Multiplat anyway. The 1 year head start was a strategy to try to make up for years of PS brand recognition. Due to system shortages (that people seem to forget) it was more like 6 months head start. I won't get a XOne; I'll stick with the PS4. However, by almo...
The main problem with the Genesis version were the programmers. Yes, the hardware was inferior, however Probe was awful. SNES got the better programmers. Same for MK2. Fast forward to Ultimate Mortal Kombat, and most reviewers will say they're basically the same with some actually preferring the graphics/sound of the Genesis. I dreaded every time a game was from Probe. They couldn't get the 32x version right either. Yes, not even with 32 bits...
PS3 vs 360; 360. 90% of the games performed better on 360. Can't compare systems based on the 10 games that looked awesome on PS3. MS won.
PS4 vs One. Clearly a superior system on Sony's side. When the GPU's are made by the same company, there's no debate. PS4 is superior. Everything else being the same, PS4 wins everyday! Sony won!
The debte is over. Most of my One friends like it for other reasons; they know PS4 graphics are better. I went with the FOUR. Sony...
Own a PS4; got Titanfall on PC. It's good.
IMHO, overrated developer. It takes him 5 years to develop a game and always gets good scores due to hype, not innovation. We end up hearing/reading more about the game than actually playing it. Seriously, hide in a cardboard box?
Are the current car manufacturers the only ones planned or are they planning on adding some down the road? I find it hard to determine how a Ferrari should feel; never driven one and never will. It would be great if they added the GT-R, a few Vettes, pony cars and some of the other more common/affordable vehicles. I do like their BMW lineup and the visuals look great!
It's almost as if the companies reversed roles. MS is basically Sony when PS3 released; only that this time there's no question on who has the better hardware. Frankly, MS should reduce the price drastically or start working on the next box and disrupt the cycle.
Let's compare an unreleased 60fps sim racer (with real tracks) to an 30fps OK racer with fake roads. I bet that rain feels realistic on the PS4 controller too; just like driving the real thing, right? DC is OK; nothing more, nothing less.
