XBOX has always been about performance and services. Yes they have great exclusives games, but all systems do. Sony has more, no doubt! But not everyone needs 100 exclusives. Some people want the best online and the best graphics for their favorite franchises (CoD, BF, etc.). And that's what MS brings to the table. The whole exclussives thing is just marketing. Not saying it's not important. But it is an arbitrary metric. The Wii U had many exclusives; did it matter? Also not all ex...
VR is easier to execute than 4K, especially on a console. I imagine they'll announce developer supported VR for Oculus and maybe Vive, but wont be MS' E3 priority. They want to regain the American hardcore gamer crowd. VR would be a distraction. I suspect VR will become "sim racing" focused, the only application that truly benefits from it and the demographic willing to spend the $ on gaming setups.
It will run run games in true 4K, but it will be the minority and not at 60fps. We've been here before. Remember Sony and the PS3 claims?
Why would a 1070 stutter? Please fix it.
Can't run it with a 1070 at 60FPS (Medium settings). It dips below 30...Hopefully they fix it soon.
Problem with this industry. 720P, 1080P, 4K...but little focus on FPS. On a racing game, FPS matters way more than effects that you probably won't notice. You know what looks better than video games? Photos. Think about it...
It won't come close to catching up (globally) but will finish strong in the US.
In the big scheme of things, consoles are good products/value. However, a PC gamer would already have way more power than Pro. 4K Blu would be a good incentive.
Scorpio is basically made for the US market, specifically, "the hardcore." There is a market for that. The US market share will grow in favor of MS (not saying they will win). Expect many 360 owners that went with Sony to add a Scorpio to their collection. 2017 will be MS' year (in the US). I hope everyone understands that competition is GREAT for you!
Spec wise, no contest, Scorpio.
Xbox became a major player due to performance. Great games, etc. came after. Like it or not, 95% of multi plat games last gen played better on 360. The original XBs appeal was "bleeding edge tech."Sony always has great exclusives. Some like great exclusives, some like best performance. Scorpio vs Pro is basically the fight MS should have fought. MS will never catch Sony this gen. That's OK. MS' aiming at the hardcore gamers and multi system owners. We will get one. Actually,...
Waiting forever for games is a failure in itself. Konami has bills to pay.
I've played all the games since NES. The first PS game was innovative, for sure. The next games were mostly movies. Every review complained about lengthy stories in his games. The last one was actually good, but still overrated. My point is, we're giving Konami a hard time for making good business decisions. I rather play 3 CoD games instead of waiting forever for the next HK game. It's a business. K.S. would have been a great movie director. No, he's not the best GAME directo...
The biggest problem with Konami was H. Kojima. No one wants to admit it. Waiting "forever" for masterpieces doesn't work. It's easy to criticize but imagine it was your company. You have a Prima Donna that thinks the business rules don't apply to him because he's a genius (he isn't). Most of his recent games were way overrated and took too long to develop. The math didn't work for Konami and they decided to change strategies. We get a new game quicker that ma...
They need to learn from Turn 10. This game could potentially release 4 years into the console's life making PC and Xbox the sim racing platforms. I rather play a 95% (almost perfect game) today vs a 100% game years down the road...
GT sets no standard. This has been thoroughly discussed on multiple YouTube channels, gaming podcasts, and...sim racing sites. One OK game per console generation while others produce better content more often. BTW, notice the shift in strategy for GT Sport. Basically following what the rest of the sim racing world has been doing. The title was delusional. GT was king 10 years ago.
Gran Turismo of PC?...GT's not even close.
Those specs would barely support native 4K unless the settings are way down and maybe at 30fps. Yes, games are optimized, etc. but we can't hit 1080p at 60 yet.
MS has never needed the world market. They need a strong showing in the US and the stock market. Anyone that thinks it's just about sales #s is wrong.
