A terrible choice on the price. MS had a good chance to reduce the size take the disc-drive out and try and make it work at $150-$199... $250 price killed this endeavor... MS blew it and made themselves look like money grubbing fools in the process... A disc-less console sells for more than the exact same console that has a 4K Blu-Ray disc Drive. That says everything you need to know about this product. MS put Zero Time and effort into it.

3390 hours of gameplay to unlock all skins seems ridiculous... They need to adjust the time crystals earned and bring it down to a reasonable amount of gameplay time. I will skip this game until that gameplay to Time Crystals gets adjusted to a fair amount.

While gaming is currently moving away from Physical media, It is not moving away from digital downloads. Streaming will be an option, but playing the game natively on the system through a download will always be a choice. There is no point to do away with Digital downloads... There is a reason publishers want to get rid of Physical media, because of the used game market.

That being said Physical media is safe for 1... maybe 2 more generations, but you will probably see ch...

Doesn't matter... The service is still offered.

@Anubis the Xbox One S All-Digital is simply a test run at the future... Whether you like it or not probably after this next generation of consoles... All digital future will be on the horizon it will get here sooner or later and that is just a fact more digital games are sold now than the average physical game sales. As digital catches on more and more... Disc drives in consoles will disappear to cut costs.

NextGen Xboxes will support
Physical and Digital games
Xbox GamePass (Download playing natively)
XCloud (streaming)

PS5
Physical and Digital games
PS NOW (streaming)

They both support physical and digital games. They both support streaming. I'm very confused as the only difference is MS offers 1 additional service of GamePass where you download and play it Natively...

Complete fanboyism...

WTF? They aren't going to stop selling the disc version. This pretty much is a streaming set-top-box with apps and games. Very similar to a ROKU or Amazon Firestick on how it would work and this also serves as a purpose to see how a disc-less SKU option will sell to see if it's a viable option for other future SKUs.

Consumers don't overly like it... but this upcoming generation will probably be one of the last with disc drives it will eventually go all digital an...

The game reviewed rather quite well. Fans of the original series just didn't like the take on the reboot. I actually enjoyed the game for what it was. Solid story, good combat/gameplay. But, I was also never a very big DMC fan so I didn't get caught up in the the remake controversies.

Okay... getting too politically Correct... Toning down the sexualization of the female fighters and boob jiggling and costumes while still allowing shirtless incredibly ripped male fighters... You can't tone one of them down without toning both of them down...

Because they can be really fun with deep engaging gameplay and storylines... usually with little or no microtransactions.

Why Shannon Loftis still has a job is beyond me. Between Scalebound and this... more than enough justification to fire someone that doesn't know what they are doing.

Article is a whine and bitch fest... Of course there are added perks to Origins and EA Access members and EA has never hid this from the public... So your going to skip a game entirely based on the way demo... gameplay is handled? There are a lot of things to complain about when talking about EA... This isn't one of them.

After reading some media previews I'm lowering expectations of the average scores... I'd guess high 60s to mid 70s now... would be surprised with anything in the 80s...

Well inside Xbox's show on 5 Feb will have a feature focused on CD3... and Reviews and streaming will be allowed up to like 4 days prior to launch... If MS had been getting negative feedback the review embargo would have lapsed on launch day... I don't think it will be 90+... but I don't think it will be reviewed terribly either. I'd predict 75-82ish...

@NarutoFox... You don't know the deal that was signed... You don't know if the deal was for more than one game... or if there were buyout options... So you shouldn't assume... It might have nothing to do with Private Division for the future of this franchise... so don't be dumb and act like you know more than you do about the publishing rights to Outer Worlds... Unless you have a source then please link or disclose the information.

@Purrfection One day? I can tell you now... Obsidian... and now MS owns the IP... Private Division had a publishing deal pre-MS buyout... Much like Compulsion games had with Gearbox for "We Happy Few".... It's really not hard to understand. All Obsidian games post Oter Worlds launch will be exclusive to Xbox / Win 10 to include any possible sequel to outer worlds... If MS can't get the publishing rights for a future sequel back from Private Division... they can simply sit...

MS will benifit from it because of increased sales... also they didn't snatch anything outside of Publishing the first game... Obsidian owns the IP.. Not Private Division... Meaning MS owns the future of the franchise. Depending on how future publishing deal is worked... But, since MS owns the ip... If they can't get publishing rights back they can effectively kill the franchise and move on if they so choose... to have Obsidian work on exclusive games... Besides.. is it a bad thing......
