It’s been stated many times before that games appearing in GamePass especially 3rd party games... usually get a sales bump... not a decrease because the game is sold with a discount while in the GamePass cycle. Not too mention it’s not like all the Xbox gamers subscribe to GamePass and this is the first seriously good baseball game pretty much ever appearing on the platform so the high sales rank isn’t surprising.

So because they shared some tech they are using in the game... It means that's all they worked on this entire time? You sound like a very sad console warrior. Sometimes it's better to stay silent... Then speak and sound like a fool....

For what it's worth I think the tech looks cool and could set some nice atmospheric tones for the game. Hopefully it's used in more games as well going forward.

I haven't had any problem with the Xbox One X since switching to Home Console for playing games offline... Of course my Xbox One X is always hooked up to the internet anyway. Same as my PlayStation and Switch.

Yea... But I'm sure a lot of money was kicked to Take Two to transfer the publishing rights. They could have sat on them and made it a dead franchise.

Digital games taking over was always a matter of time. Everyone knew that. I'd be surprised if physical media is even an option next-gen seeing as how digital has already surpassed physical copies.

Totally 100% disagree that $1 subs made it happen... Day 1 1p games that stay permanently made it happen with a revolving door of 3rd party great... and okay content for 4-6 months at a time. Of course MS had to make up for years of abuse of their Xbox Division buy purchas...

It doesn't mean it's the right choice to avoid a GamePass model. It has surpassed 25 Million Subscriptions and is on it's way to 50 Million before Halo Infinites launch in more than likely November... and now the rumored Starfield exclusivity and day one into GamePass will continue the trajectory forward and it will not slow.

Once contractual obligations of Bethesda are up on a couple of the franchises coming up for release as far as big game releases there wil...

Is Sony in trouble now? Of course not. However if they don’t evolve and offer a similar experience they may in about 5 years when Microsoft’s 23 1p studios start to release fresh content to include a big mix of AAA games and smaller passion experiences into GamePass day 1. Sony could money-hat to their hearts content but with every Sony 1p title launching at $70 GamePass will become more popular with every passing year. Sony will not be able to compete with the amount of games and content re...

If this is simply a "Cross Gen" game... Upscaled for next gen... Why can't PS5 run it at 4K?

Notice how you didn't work there and he did and said his comments were taken out of context. Or do you know better than him?

Well... I guess for fans of Doom? They look cool but I'm not a buyer.

@TeamIcoFan

I played through it beat it good game... I don't ever recall ANYONE saying the game was an "Uncharted Killer"... Ever... Good for what it was though.

Baseball kind of forced Sony's hand... But at the same time it's mainly because no other 3rd party cared about the Baseball License including EA... No one cared about the MLB license and MLB got @ss hurt and pressured Sony to expand the games consoles to extend the sales numbers.

Obviously as pointed out by @Neomahi below... They didn't have 100% control over the license like EA does with the NFL. The current R.B.I. baseball title does have officially licensed ...

@RazzerRedux

Probably around 4-6 months... But you can also purchase it at a discount while the game is in the service. Since the game is $70 if you bought it while it's on GamePass I think it would end up being $63. I think games while they are in the service is a 10% discount.

@Magog,

Do you have the conversion rate of how many of those people flipped to a subscription? If you do please post them... I'm guessing you don't?

So all you console warriors talking smack really can't point to any factual evidence. A sustainable business is not a business that is losing money.

But Spencer reassured listeners that the Xbox Games Pass is “completely sustainable” at its current cost, and there are no plans for a price increase anytime soon. “I say there’s no plan for us to do anything like that. We like the value that Game Pass is today and from a business model it’s completely sustainable the way...

Except Phil Spencer has stated GamePass is completely sustainable business as it stands. I’m not sure you can exactly lump that in as given it’s losing money.

Because they paid money?

No... they won’t they are timed exclusives... Xbox players will miss out on the launch of the titles and probably for the first year though.

It’s been stated multiple times that GamePass is already profitable for Microsoft. What they need is continued growth and additional subscribers... That is what these moves and acquisitions are about.

For a company like MS continued investment in its money is more important than having $100 billion sitting in a bank.
