Console pricing is heading towards the £1000+ mark anyway. I'm not sure if Sony and Microsoft will follow Nintendo with a hybrid console, but people who only play on a big screen, it ends up being overpriced tech. My Switch and Switch 2 stay docked. Scalping should be banned under UK consumer law and in other countries. Looking into the future, PS6 or PS7 at £999+, download only games £99+. Gaming started to become a luxury years ago.
Scalpers paradise. Like the Astro Bot controller, retails for around £75, but sells for over £100 used? The gold Ghost of Yotei controller retails for £75 also, but the black version is only available from Sony for the same price.
This gen has been the worse gen ever. PS4 still going, said years ago it was too early for PS5, the same for Xbox One to Xbox Series X. Technology for gaming is moving too fast, PS5 and Series X still have years in them when you look at what the Switch 2 can do. I like hybrid consoles like the Switch, although the SEGA Nomad and PSP could be played connected to a TV. As I've mentioned many times before, gaming is now a luxury and I can't see the masses being able to keep up.
Amazing news......
I think adding these characters just makes the serious look stupid. Add SEGA characters as it's a SEGA game. Mario Kart has too many stupid vehicles and the bikes and quads wasn't such a good idea. The latest Mario Kart now has stupid characters. I thought by now we'd see new kart racers such as Crash Bandicoot, Pac-Man and something from Sony and not Little Big Planet karts which wasn't too good. There are some bad kart games out there and it's a genre that's dec...
You pay your money, eventually games get turned off. Enough people pay into it. so it'll continue. Lastly, the cost of gaming these day, I don't know how they can afford it. New PS5 releases for example, £70 ($100) and £75 for controllers, next gen is when gaming will crash.
VR3 for PS6, typical Sony hype, launch at £699, hardly any games, then do the same again with the PS7. Or continue with it for PS6. A VR mode for current games please.
Looking at OCD in gaming, play games on a Switch or OLED Switch and there's not much in it, if either console is docked, it's a no brainer. What type of TV or monitor you have plays a major part and they're a ton of different types these days (LCD, LED, OLED etc.). Best solution, keep your Switch for Switch games. My Switch and Switch 2 are always docked, the screens are wasted, so I'm paying over the odds because there are no 'screenless' models. All these compari...
Big difference? There's a difference, but not big. Who's bothered anyway?
Nothing wrong with the Switch 2 version. What's the point of comparing the Switch 2 version against a console that's much more powerful? That's like comparing a Ferrari with a Ford and seeing which goes the fastest. As a matter of fact, I'm a bit blown away that this game runs on Switch 2.
Please, no RPGs. Sick of all these SEGA games for the Japanese market.
SEGA's game catalogue has been a bit naff after the Xbox 360 and PS4. Stop those Mega Drive/Genesis collections and move onto arcade classics, some which never got released on consoles. Not sure what's happened to the new Crazy Taxi and Golden Axe etc., but the likes of Virtua Racing, Super Hang On, ESWAT and maybe even Alien Storm are due sequels.
So poor from Sony. I like the grey anniversary consoles, but not the price and the limited run which then ups the price. I thought Sony would've released a collection with launch games from 1994/95. Back in 1995, a £300 console and £50 tops for games, I didn't get to play all the launch games, maybe some didn't launch in Europe.
You can pick this up for around £20 used on PS5 and Series X.
Buy a game on disc/card, code in a box, download it off some website, then these key cards come along. I don't see the point when there's code in a box etc. out there. Is Nintendo trying to keep collectors happy? I wonder what the cost difference is between code in a box and key cards?
At £65 on Switch 2, £25 on Series X and PS5, the Switch 2 version just isn't worth it.
Downloading games is just rubbish. I have the game on the Series X, the full game is on the disc, on the PS5, the extra content is a download code. £25 ($33) on both formats, £65 ($87) on the Switch 2. As soon as the Switch 2 version was released, the price was tipping £40 ($53) on Series X and PS5.
Will be hardly anything in it between both versions.
I agree. The balance is way off.
I remember playing Onimusha which was a canned PS game that was ported over to the PS2. The second game was the best in the series, it basically died after the third game. The Ghost series, it was always going to be the same old. Same situation with every game out there. Sony's games always seem to be these running about games, but we can't expect them to change the record. Everyone gets sucked into the graphics and forget it's the same old. Not a launch purchase for me as P...
