Again, if you've got a few console or maybe all of them and a PC, choose what's best for you. Cyberpunk on the Xbox Series X cost me £20 new, included all the DLC on the disc, on the PlayStation 5, the DLC was by code, the price of the Switch version was eye watering. If you're OCD with graphics, stay away from the Switch 2 version, plus playing certain games on a handheld isn't ideal for certain games.

Blur was decent, although the control system could've been better, Blur 2 in the video looks good. Project Cars was massively overrated and full of bugs, Dirt 3 yes, a new Dirt Rally no, rally games have passed me by. Project Gotham Racing 5, Ridge Racer 8, Wave Race 4, Crash Team Racing 2 are up there. Ridge Racer Unbounded had everything apart from the gameplay, there was also Split Second which was decent, the Burnout series became boring as with rally and F1 games. A new Wipeout i...

Xbox was decent, Xbox 360 legendary, but after that, it was curtains. Microsoft will probably go at it again with another console, a pointless exercise when you have PlayStation and PC. I'm sick of all these formats.

Tech is moving too fast. The Switch 2 is up there with the PS4 and Xbox One, the PS4 is still here alongside the PS5, which like the Xbox Series X has years left in it. This gen hasn't been the best for games, Microsoft has almost forgotten to release came on Xbox Series and PC. The high price of games, gaming has got itself into a right muddle.

Microsoft, please ditch consoles.

At this rate, I'll be in my early to mid 60s when GTA 7 launches and may never see GTA 8.

Has anyone read Game Over by David Sheff? Nintendo has been at this for years.

In all fairness, Beyond looks decent. It's too old school as if going back to the GameCube and Wii versions. Not worth a penny over £29.99 in my eyes.

We're obviously going to see DLC, more so for Mario Kart World and Metroid Beyond. The Switch 2 rising in price wouldn't surprise me. It was a very poor showing from Nintendo with the Mario anniversary and will probably be the same with Zelda. Still no Wave Race, 1080 Snowboarding, Pilotwings and F-Zero, although I wouldn't say no to a re-run of the GameCube version with the AX tracks included. Mario Galaxy 3 rather than Mario Sunshine 2 or Mario Odyssey 2, I'm a bit sick ...

Legendary days.

But Sonic hit the ropes after Sonic Adventure 2 on Dreamcast, Sonic Racing was a bit of a comeback, but it never really recovered. Sonic Frontiers and Superstars were decent, Adventure 3 is way overdue. I was there in 1991 when the first game launched on the Mega Drive. SEGA keeps throwing out boring collections, it's time to move on with new collections.

Just another 7/8 years of the same old with Switch 2, but what else was it going to be? Nintendo pulled out of the home console market and is limited with its tech, out pops the Switch 2 that can just about run PS4/Xbox One tech games. I was impressed with Cyberpunk, but by the time the Switch 2 gets going, by 2030, we'll see the PS6 etc. Will the Switch 3 be basically a handheld PS5? Probably, but Nintendo needs to go back to basics and release a home console and a separate handheld ...

Mario Kart 8 apparently hit just under 70 million sales on Wii U and Switch, although that figure includes the game packaged with the console, so I'm not sure on single game sales (disc, card and download). No Nintendo console out there, I think Mario Kart 8 would've hit bigger sales when you add Android and IOS, which is a good point. Nintendo's games don't exactly need ground breaking tech, but if that was there with a single format, Nintendo could then keep up. Don't...

What you're saying is, if Nintendo ditched consoles, it wouldn't make a bigger killing from releasing all of its games on PlayStation and PC, maybe even Xbox if Microsoft grows a backbone? Mario Kart 8 and Breath of the Wild as examples, what sales would Nintendo hit on PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series X? Nintendo could still bang on with controllers, joycons and cams etc. to bulk up its profits. Nintendo has been holding back its fans for years now when it comes to tech. Last ti...

More reason for Microsoft to ditch Xbox and release on PS and PC. Imagine if Nintendo stopped faffing on with consoles, their games would reach eye popping sales, but they love control and that's losing them millions or billions a year. Mario Kart 8 and World on PS5 and PC, what sales would they hit?

Great that you still have the original. I have original games on disc, but I'm in the process of moving them on and discs start to rot.

The demise of gaming started with the release of the PS5 and Series X. Both released too early and the previous consoles still hanging about, we're still seeing new PS4 releases. The price of games and controllers these days, we're heading for another 1980 gaming crash. The likes of the PS6 and whatever Xbox, leave it for another 5 years, around 2030, but by then, I'd hate to think how much consoles will cost.

I'm not one for going back to old games, but it makes me chuckle when games go missing. On top of that, why don't Nintendo finally change its ways and offer its online service with everything for a flat price of say £24.99 a year. Faffing on with pricing models is the dogs dinner. On top of that, we've paid for these games years ago, but you could say the games are free and you pay to play games online. I know I'm never going to see a single format and I've been g...

My Xbox Series X has sat for 3 years, last game I played was Dirt 5. I realised I should've got rid of it, but there are still a few games out there and also Xbox One games. Why Microsoft would release another console is beyond me.
