Eh. Nothing much.
Same here. I loved the original games but lost interest for several years. Despite my ingrained negativity toward the franchise, Odyssey has won me over.
I want so badly for this to be great, but honestly I'm waiting for reviews. Something feels a bit lifeless about it. Hoping I'm just a jaded douche and the final product speaks for itself.
I think what they really need is to focus on designing a game with some narrative soul - not just a showcase of environment and sheer scope of stuff to do.
Far Cry 3 was the last time I truly *loved* a Ubisoft title. What came after isn't bad, just lacking in emotional depth. Like banging a robot. Not unpleasant, but ultimately unfulfilling.
It's not about size, its about how you use it. Very excited for this. Loved JC2, skipped 3 (just wasn't into it) and now JC4 looks to be shaping up nicely - I really like that they're focusing on narrative design. Blind hope don't fail me now.
You can't dress up a turd. Admire their trying though. Bioware died when they sold out to EA - clear and steady decline. CDPR all the way babeh. And Guerilla Games for that matter.
Why is this PS4 news? Is it releasing on Playstation? That would make me very happy :D
Your joke was funny. Your inability to use "you're" correctly is what I disagreed with.
Pity. Your clearly a person with potential, just can't quite get you're shit together.
Edit: I am amazed at the number of people who didn't realise I made intentional mistakes.
Was proud of myself for trolling so successfully, sad at the state of N4G user-intellect, and then faith restored by @DashArrivals, @DarXyde <3
Sensationalist nonsense. Nothing concrete, logically or factually supports this idea. Basic concepts ironically taken from many issues raised this year in gaming. Nothing suggests 2017 will be worse or better than 2016. Click-bait.
Good article. Simple and clear.
Half the games aren't action adventures.
7 - Alpha Protocol
6 - The Witcher 2
5 - Mass Effect
4 - Dragon Age Origins
3 - Fahrenheit
2 - Wolfenstein: The New Order
1 - Far Cry 3
Strangely, that seems kinda accurate from my South African perspective.
Just happened to be the console that really penetrated the market, deeply. Now there are game-playing folk everywhere.
Just goes to show: use protection, kids. But seriously, PS2 was the start in this here South African's experience.
Yay another opinion to undercut our optimism. I'm not bashing the article or the writer personally, I'm just tired of negative articles on N4G just to get angry clicks.
I mean I really don't mind intelligent discussion but for lords sake we know almost nothing about this game at the moment. After it's out I'd love to have a conversation like this, until then let's keep the sad, cynical thoughts to ourselves.
True though they may turn ...
Save your time, it's 10 pages:
10. Heavy Rain
9. Prey
8. Dead Space
7. Resident Evil 2
6. Metal Gear Solid 4
5. Uncharted 2
4. God of War 2
3. Half-Life
2. Metal Gear Solid
1. Medal of Honour: Allied Assault
Well said. Though I am understanding how it could ruin a game's sense of immersion. Danger isn't dangerous if you can always try again. That said, it would be a cool patch later on so that I can run around and just try crazy things. :)
If you read the article, that is basically what I conclude. It's very true, I'm finding my achievement mean more and danger can be terrifying if I've just hunted an animal I need or something like that. I need to grow up and let it go. Now I'mma go play more :)
Thank you :)
Thank you. FFS these articles piss me off. They're creating stories where there literally has been no change.
I know public perception says PC gaming is dead but I game exclusively on PC and there are always more great games than I can play released each year.
There's no release date in the trailer.
