*Mr Krabs: money!*
Poorly chosen quote.
I clicked and the next paragraph reads
"During the final year of Borderlands’ development, the team swapped out the brown for thick outlines and comic book shading – a change so drastic and divisive at Gearbox that the game’s original art director left games and never came back."
Aha hahahahaha. No.
Well said. No pre-orders. Ever.
Any classic RTS gets me excited
The list:
1. Papers, Please
2. That Dragon, Cancer
3. Celeste
4. Journey
Movies have age restrictions. Games have skill restrictions. Even if you don't agree - freedom to create whatever you want is the whole point of entertainment.
You make a really great point about AI - I think it's the new frontier for gaming to leap forward. Gfx are amazing as it is - some games from 2007 still look great to me, but AI hasn't improved much at all. Improvements to how enemies react/strategize/outhink me would really interest me.
Also something like Bulletstorm was also fun - making it about how ridiculously you can kill enemies was a great addition IMO.
I don't really play much MP anymore, almost exclusively SP games and I still agree with the authors general sentiment. The games you mentioned are pretty good, but still play too similarly to other shooters for it to interest me. Wolfenstein had a great story though. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
FPS gameplay has remained relatively unchanged. For me, it's just been too many hours - I'm bored. Would need a very original setting/gameplay twist/set of guns to even blip my radar.
Beautifully said. As long as micro-pay content is severely limited I still have a lot of faith in the franchise.
I love traditional RTS. So happy to see it making a bit of a comeback - first Bannermen and now this. *insert Moe "not today" meme.
Reviewing a 2015 game... You do you bruh, but any particular reason why?
"under" $30.
Your comment is clearly written, and impeccably presented. People can be idiots on this site. Agree with you completely - killer app is a reference it software. The title was nonsensical.
Sorry - I see it now. Very excited!
Vane isn't confirmed for January. Might not even be this year. Pity - only game that really caught my eye on this list.
Terrible *slideshow* not a list. Terrible games, rife with anti-consumer practices. Be better than me, don't give them the click.
Release date: 26 March 2019.
Looks interesting, will keep an eye out for reviews.
Had to stop playing because as amazing as quality of the game is, I find that the game design just doesn't respect my time. Not in the way I want. To those that enjoy it: do it for the both of us.
