@Bladefist
GPU-accelerated Physx is not the industry norm for gameplay related features. I can't think of a single title, aside from indie physics based games, that actually uses HW-accelerated Physx for gameplay.

It doesn't affect my point that PhysX or any other non GPU accelerated physics engine is in use in many games. GPU accelerated physics can do things CPU will never be able to do on that scale, and none if it has been used in gameplay, despite it it...

This story isn't true. Microsoft invested in the most powerful server structure ever conceived, and that's why you pay for Live, and it's a better service, because it's completely perfect and beautiful in every way, and yall are just a bunch of fanboi haters. XBoxOne 4ever.

I don't think they were sour, but I do think that Nvidia is not supporting Mantle for purely business reasons, and I think Nvidia has reduced physx to decorative uses by hoarding the gpu acceleration. If physx was open to all gpus, there would be real games out there with gpu based liquids, or games like assassin's creed would let you grab onto curtains that could tear in dynamic ways from your weight or being cut. But since that would affect gameplay, and they want the game to be pl...

I disagree. Don't make sure to change it for best quality.

I don't think it's just because it's a console. It's also because the last time MS and Live had anything to do with PC gamers, was when they tried to pull the charge you to play online bs many moons ago. Unlike the xbox sheep at the time praising MS, and waxing poetic about how wonderful it was they had to pay a toll to play online, PC gamers got Games for Windows Live shut down permanently within short order.

Typical XBox fan response. Feel sorry for you guys.

WHAT is up with XBox fans being so blindly supportive of MS's crappy policies they lose their reading comprehension? The game's creators were the ones pushing for the feature, presumably to shut down sooner?

Quick heads up for MS users. There are ways to make money that don't involve shafting consumers. I didn't say no money, or less money. There's this false dichotomy (particularly among XBox and EA fans) that you either have to choose between screwin...

eh. They've reversed like 20 things already this year. It seems the new management isn't nearly as squeamish at fixing the previous managements' mistakes, and calling it 'responding to feedback', rather than 'cleaning Ballmer/Mattricks mess'/

I agree with mkis007, probably won't be on their radar enough until it happens with a few more titles, but it will be changed to match ps4 by the end of the gen, and so will the launch window parity requ...

I love Naughty Dog, but I totally disagree with this. I really hope there are devs that would reach where Uncharted for PS4 demo looked (not likely, but..), and say, well, if we can get it this good at 60fps, let's push it even further and see how amazing it can look if we use that last bit of power and shoot for 30 but even more detail or higher quality effects. Granted, it should be a goal that if your game doesn't look crying rainbows amazing you should shoot for 60.

@Volkama, it won't be tiny text files, it will be packets of numerical data. There will be no files or text.

@IrishSt0ner & @Volkama not true. For MS's cloud to do anything worth making a fuss about it needs to be on a scale like the Crackdown demo, or it would work with any old server. All those tiny little pieces of debris falling everywhere is a lot of data. Thousands upon thousands of object locations and angles sent to however many users are there. Azure...

I agree completely. 4 hours is just some capcom type bs. It should be competitive with RedBox at least, which I believe was $2 when I used it to rent Last of Us (one of the best rentals ever).

You can't do anything in 4 hours, except lament how poor you are for not being able to afford the longer options.

Could be cool, but Nintendo is probably spread thin trying to manage selling and supporting a console on 1st party titles alone. An MMO takes a long time to make, not to mention that Nintendo is still very new/bad at online stuff in general (according to themselves)

VR will be awesome on Playstation, and I'm glad Sony is making it even more mainstream even quicker, but VR will be best on a high end PC with an Omni, and whichever other motion peripherals you pick.

Will definitely pick this up when I get my PS4. I'll be even more excited for the new thing that Media Molecule's working on from the ps4 reveal demo last year.

To Xbox fans who claim they weren't saying it'd be a massive change: Do you not remember yourselves saying DX12 would:
A) let them squeeze Gigs of VRAM into the 14MB of ESRAM with tiled resources
B) unlock 50% more of the cpu
C) bridge the gap so XBox One would be as powerful if not moreso than PS4.

Every one of those things has been said 100's of times in comments sections across n4g in the past week alone probably, and any one of those 3...
