It was briefly shown at E3 if I recall (like a minute-trailer).
Day one no question. I've been waiting for this ever since it was revealed at E3 2011.
I'm pretty sure you know that's not happening anytime soon.
So basically, you want Nintendo to release another commercial failure?
lol @ the Sony fans trying to spin MH PSP sales like they were any better in America and Europe. Over 80% of those sales were because of Japan, but of course the Sony guzzlers will ignore that so they can perpetuate the myth that "games don't sell on Nintendo handhelds".
WiiU did not sell more than the 3DS in its launch window. 360 and PS3, however, it did, though it has since fallen drastically off of that pace and is selling akin to the GCN.
No matter how you try to spin it, that's not good by any stretch of the imagination.
The DS Lite, DSi, and 3DS XL all fixed problems that were apparent with the previos models. GBA SP too, if I want to go back even farther.
You don't play their handhelds though, so you have no idea what those revisions were "fixing". You just look at them as "just another model."
Graphics, or rather, technical graphical beauty, isn't as important as presentation is. For instance, even though the Wii was drastically underpowered in comparison to the 360 and PS3, Monolith was still able to create a game like Xenoblade which, while not technically stunning, is still a "beautiful" game to play and look at considering that the style, scope, and music of Xenoblade are all-high quality.
"Realism" is what ruined SSX 2012.
You don't need realism in every game. There is nothing wrong with arcade-y games, and quite frankly, I'd prefer games to be made with that aspect in mind.

LOL who cares what this guy has to think?
Just another person who inaccurately attributes the success of the 3DS to the price drop. People like this seem to be under the impression that games aren't the reason gamers buy gaming products, but rather price. The 3DS could have launched at a MSRP of $150, and I highly doubt the sales for that 5 month post-launch stretch to be any different. Why> Because it had no compelling games, thus it had nothing to justify its value vs. the sticker price.
The money that they poured into the Gamepad could have been used to bump up specs.
While Nintendo does need to change it up (namely, taking a damn break from Mario), they're better off not giving in to the demands of consumers like TongkatAli who aren't interested in Nintendo products period. Last time they did that they were Gamecube'd.
Look at the trolls flocking to this like animals to a campfire.
And it deserves every one of those sales, and more. The game is simply brilliant.
Handheld wise I think they'll still be around. The next Nintendo handheld will more than likely mimic the shape and functionality of modern-day tablet devices, but still have exclusive franchises like Pokemon and Fire Emblem to entice people the mass consumer.
Consoles........eh, remains to be seen, but the WiiU certainly isn't making a good argument that they should continue making consoles.
Nice to see the Vita sell well. Hopefully this will spark more Japanese developers to create more original content for the Vita platform.
These numbers are already much better than February's. Practically all hardware were barely selling over 10K each week.
I would say the 3DS is having a better year than "decent". More like "phenomenal", especially when you compare it to last year.
