Jesus ****ing Christ at those 3DS sales.
.....voltaro, is that you?
While Monolith is a Nintendo first party, I wouldn't really count either X or Xenoblade as "Nintendo IPs". Both of those games don't deviate at all from Takahashi's previous games.
Get one around the holidays when retailers slash the prices on the system. That's the best time to get any gaming hardware really.
Unless of course you're a huge Pokemon fan and can't wait, then check Amazon frequently as the 3DS is on sale more often than not.
Sounds to me like you were looking for a reason to sell your 3DS. Nintendo didn't have to focus on the 3DS at E3 because its release schedule isn't/wasn't the issue, but rather the Wii U's.
Also, if you couldn't find games to play that were better than iOS games then that's your own fault.
That's because the media loves to delude themselves into thinking that mobile gaming doesn't matter.
Trend of the industry, and why gaming as a whole is so goddamn boring now.
The push for cinematics and realism is the worst thing that has ever happened to gaming. It's what ruined GTAIV and SSX2012.
So based on what you just said, Kid Icarus: Uprising was a bad decision on Nintendo's part.
Um, re-birthing old franchises is something that they NEED to do, because then they become less reliant on Marion and Zelda while also raising the awareness of their lesser known titles.
Are you really trying to insinuate that Nintendo giving the green light on Kid Icarus: Uprising was a BAD thing?
Dat fanboyism.
Sprinkle in some cuss words and a tinge of English accent and you'd swear this article was written by hoggys2much.
^^^^And that's great that you like those titles, but Nintendo can't and won't be nearly as successful as they were last gen without 3rd party support. It has already been proven with both the N64 and GCN that Nintendo's 1st party titles alone are not enough to satisfy most gamers.
Nothing you said relates to anything I said at all. And unlike you, I can also like Nintendo while bringing up valid criticism.
Being a cheerleader for any of these companies won't get you brownie points.
But what about next-gen games? Not a single one of the next-gen games announced at E3 are coming to the Wii U, which is the real problem here.
How much worse will the 3rd party support get once developers move on from the 360 and PS3?
I don't know why people even bother taking what Reggie says into consideration. He is a mouth piece for Nintendo, meaning that you will never him show Nintendo in a negative light as that promotes a bad image.
Never mind what we think, because people like us know that he's full of ****; it's the common, misinformed consumer that they don't want becoming "informed", for lack of a better word.
And really, Ubi's support probably isn't as dedicated as we think, since neither The Crew nor The Division seem to be coming to the Wii U.
Oh, but the Wii U is DEFINITELY not missing out Ubi's next iteration of Just Dance.
That Direct was dreadful, with the only highlight being MK8 (seriously, the track design is going to INSANE with the potential of anti-gravity). Way too safe and Nintendo once again proves that they are unwilling to step out of their comfort zone to offer their fans something NEW.
Where did the ambition go? Where is the Nintendo that funded and/or developed big titles with original characters?
LOLNO
I personally don't care who "wins" E3, what I want to see and hear about are the games, plus further details on both the PS4 and XBone. Everything else is irrelevant.
So, if Nintendo shows me games that I want, then they "win" me over as a consumer; simple as that.
Not to point any fingers, but at least on this site that describes Sony fans 90% of the time.
Nintendo games wouldn't sell to PS/XBox gamers, as neither audience likes colorful, arcade-y games.
