No I'm not trying to state that sci-fi and fantasy are the same, I'm trying to state that Final Fantady titles have been fantasy, while you're attempting to state that they haven't.
According to the part taken from YOUR link, all Final Fantasy titles have been fantasy so far as the focus of each main entry has been magic in both story and gameplay, and neither title can be described as sci-fi as the worlds aren't close to being reality, neither now nor ...
That's not a solid reply to my last comment. You're avoiding it.
"Fantasy can be distinguished from science fiction, the other genre that it is most often grouped with, in that fantasy includes magic and takes place in a world that could never be, whereas science fiction is generally set in a world that simply doesn't exist yet. The primary distinguishing trait between fantasy and other genres of the speculative fiction type is that the primary focus and story feature of fantasy is magic."
From your link. According to this ...
Well science fiction is still fiction, but you claim the titles that were more sci fi aren't fantasy.
Fantasy doesn't necessarily mean castles, dragons and wizards...
The remake of Final Fantasy IV has DLC, it's a remake but still a single player main series FF. So do YOUR research.
Check his link actually instead of just his posts, the user mentions several times that he never saw the other player even after several attempts. He even wrote this " I will try again soon to see if we can try again when the servers are more stable." because he couldn't see him and he thought it might be the servers. Just read the post.
You clearly didn't read the link you posted yourself.
First they noticed they were in the same starsystem, then they decided to STREAM together and to meet up at a space station. That's how they could talk to each other, by each of them watching the other's live stream.
The later updates they posted in the exact same link you posted even mention that they tried SEEING each other several times because they thought it might be the servers but ...
Yeah I admit I read the article only after I wrote the comment. My mistake, but I'm one of those that are a bit fed up.
I still think these are lies. I like the level of exploration in the game, and I do prefer SP over MP myself, but this game should have been marked clearly as SP, which it was not. Many people expected to meet others, but there isn't even an indicator to see on which server you're on, which in other games exists.
So you have ...
So you have multiplayer which no one can prove exists, but it is there? Yeah right. Maybe it's just good PR.
People manage to find each other even in games like DayZ where the map is enormous. Here we have an instance of two people actually being in one place and not seeing each other.
They streamed at the same time, however while streaming >at the same time< one was on the planet during daytime, the other one at night time.
Grow up.
Guys don't give this article a click. First of all it's 8 pages "long", second it's a quasi-camouflaged feminist article, i.e. a few other " issues" were mentioned but 6 of 8 were about sexism. The arguments the writer draws up are stupid and illogical.
And how exactly is ff8 different than ff7 in that regard? Ff7's materia system was just as easy to break as the junction system in 8, and playing ff7 just as many players didn't understand the connection between Cloud and Zac until it was further explained through movies, spin-offs and an anime series. And yet people claim ff7 to be the best jrpg ever.
"don't sound so hurt. lol" - the uneasiness showed here. I was just using your own methods to prove how immature you are. Which you just did.
Also, using arguments doesn't mean you're arguing, it means you're discussing, debating. Are you sure you're not 15?
@naruga, FFVII is claimed to be the best because it was something completely new; however, besides Cloud and Aerith, the characters are forgettable. The story was a mess...
The person we assumed Stella was wouldn't fit into the game's current story.
Your arguments are the weakest I've ever seen, and that's a fact "lol"
Just because you didn't understand how to play the game doesn't mean it's bad.
@no way
A game of this size with procedural planet generation already existed. It's called spore.
Not saying that those two games are same, just sayibg that NMS isn't AS groundbreaking and new as many claim it to be.
