While I can't comment on Bethesda as a whole, there is a strong correlation between a games quality and reviews being delayed.
For instance, they did it for Destiny because of world population, though that stuff was pretty unimportant in the end product and we had a game that scored pretty low given the size/popularity. Sure, it's a good game, but things like the story, included content and so forth was underwhelming.
I also believe CoD Black Op...
Essentially that games need to have a more accurate portrayal of relationships and Persona 5 is bad because you seem to be able to hook up with anyone, with your actions having very little impact. As far as the actual article, I find stuff like this funny, since they make me wonder how people with seemingly little interest in gaming end up as a writer at a gaming site.
Take their example of Persona 5 as bad. This is fine, except when you remember the Persona team also made...
If it hadn't happened in the past, I thought that happened when The Division first released.
Why I totally and completely get why Steins;Gate 0 is on this list, it's a real shame how many people play it for the trophies alone. It has such an interesting story and has so much more to offer than just trophies.
Go look at Lost Planet 2's list.
"PSN / XBL took years to get to where they are, but suddenly anyone who comes along is expected to have feature parity with these established ecosystems."
Let's not forget that Nintendo has had online since at least the Wii and was featured on the Wii U, 3DS and now Switch. Despite that, Nintendo keeps having to revise and redo things because they keep wanting to do their own things. These include friend codes, no unified system, pictures instead of flat out t...

"The scores, in fact, are all over the place."
The issue is that scores don't make as much sense for gaming and should go away. Unlike schoolwork, which tends to follow a simple rubric (spelling errors are -1 point, properly referencing things is +1 point, etc), there really isn't any sort of consistency. A great example of this is BioShock.
The atmosphere, story and tone in that game are amazing. I was so ...

"Outdated according to what?"
The 3DS released like six months prior to the Vita and had significantly lower specs for exactly the same price. So, when you figure it was outclassed by a fair bit by another console that released the same year, it's fair to say it's outdated. Especially since the New 3DS is still not as powerful as the Vita, which, according to Nicalis Founder Tyrone Rodriguez, the Wii U isn't that much more ...
"No buggy game should be let off just because it has a big following."
Yet it happens all the time with Bethesda games... I mean, Fallout 3 crashed my PlayStation 3 more times than every other PlayStation 3, 4 and Vita game I've played combined, yet it has a 90 on Metacritic.
With that being said, though I don't agree with it, I don't disagree with this either. The problem is that a lot of critics aren't fairly rating games and p...
Destiny seems to be going in the route of fan service, which is a little depressing and troubling.
As time progressed, Bungie has incorporated more and more elements, notes and feelings that reflect the communities beliefs. This isn't all bad, in some ways it's nice that Bungie is aware of peoples plight in regards to the Gjallarhorn, but stuff like this shows that they're trying to just do what people like in order to get sales.
If you look...
" Is like the Dualshock 4 problems. I have had mine since launch and it looks and feels like new. "
Whoa now. It's one thing to blame scratches on the disc/screen as people poorly taking care of their stuff, but I had my thumbstick rip because of how it was made. It isn't like I was aggressively playing, left it in a terrible location or any of that, I just used it normally and it happened. First time I can think of in over 20 years of supporting PlayStati...
To be fair, the original court documents talked about DLC several years before its release. While it sucks that DLC is already being revealed, it isn't surprising that they have some idea of what it will be and it's hard to be mad at it when it's literally just an image at this point. I mean, this article can't even confirm or deny it will be Osiris or Rasputin, since it's an assumption based off a logo.
"The gaming capture cards already circumvent what game developers are trying to block."
Yes, but they also have ways around it. For my review of Guilty Gear Xrd I captured the first ten minutes of the story, something that you couldn't capture with the share feature and they got the video taken down and I was given a strike on my YouTube account. All because I uploaded 10 minutes to get people interested in the story.
It isn't the lack of gameplay that is worrying, it's peoples reactions to a game we know practically nothing about. This would be one thing if Destiny lived up to expectations, since the hype would be understandable, but Destiny spent two years being criticized and failed to meet many peoples expectations.
My impression from a lot of comments is similar to someone who gets back together with someone who beats or cheats on them. The person goes "baby, this time...
Just because people write stupid articles, doesn't mean no one shouldn't worry about any game.
Destiny has a long history of being poorly balanced, having underwhelming expansions, being light on content and more. The really worrying thing is the fact we haven't seen gameplay, yet some people on Reddit and other sites seem to think Destiny 2 will be everything we expected the original to be.
Heck, I was doing the new Crota's End raid wit...
I think a lot of it also has to do with programs like GCU and Amazon Prime offering new discounts and the rise of reselling in other venues. Like, Uncharted 4 trades in for $5 at GameStop and sells for $20 used, so if I can make $10 or so on Craigslist, I'm making more money and someone else is saving more money.
"What does it really matter in the long. "
Well, I personally think it is important to see why things are the way they're, instead of just assuming things. In the case of the Nintendo and third-party games, it's true fewer sell, but it always seems like companies go out of their way to make them fail.
A big problem with the Wii U was that we got a lot of older ports. No matter how good Batman: Arkham City is, I'm not going to buy a ...

Yes, but unlike Persona, Call of Duty gets a lot of sales and being able to associate that title with your brand/company is worth something. To put it into perspective, according to VGChartz, every Call of Duty on the Wii outsold Persona 4 on the PlayStation 2, with one of them outselling Persona 4 on the Vita and PS2 combined, another almost outselling both and two more than have about 75 percent of that sum. This is an absurd difference in value.
Why should Sony? It's an exclusive, yes, but they don't own the franchise, aren't publishing it, Persona games have appeared on rival consoles (Persona Q was on the 3DS) and the series simply isn't a commercial success. According to VGChartz, the Vita version of 4 outsold the PlayStation 2 version and even then we're talking talking about a combined sum that is less than 2 million.
Yes, but it also played poorly on the PlayStation 3, which was a serious problem. Had the PlayStation 3 version released on par with the patched version, I think it would've done much better.
