I can see both sides of this, but you have to remember that Q2/3 are typically slow times for games, so sites need to get views from things beyond guides, reviews and such, so we get silly editorials about things.

While the game is amazing, i can understand the score. I mean, you're paying $15 for an arcade game that has been ported 3+ times, but in this version you don't even get a stage select.

Obviously factors come into play, like if you have something to do, work/school, etc it's easier, but there is also a lot to be said of slow release periods. Like the next couple of months there are maybe three games I want to play and odds are I won't be playing a bunch of backlog things I have minimal to no interest in, so not playing for a week, 2 or even a month isn't that hard.
This article is quite a bit misleading. For starters the deal seems to be limited to South Africa, which means the vast majority of people on this site will not be able to get it. The other article I read mentioned it was a bundle, not something where you ask for a copy and they give you it like this article seems to suggest.

I take it you never read the grimoire cards, since Destiny actually has a lot of lore that simply isn't in the game. Quite a shame that they more or less hid all these details / side stories on the back of cards that no one sees on a website very few people go to. =\
I've read some bad articles with flawed logic before, but I think this one takes the cake.
Ultimately the main problem with the article is that the writer seems to believe that if Nintendo was to make a bundle, then it would be a well stocked bundle. The issue is that it makes absolutely no sense in terms of what Nintendo has done in the past, amiibos in general or anything else.

Where was I talking about promotional giveaways? I was SPECIFICALLY talking about Sony Rewards and to a lesser extent things like My Coke Rewards, Bing Rewards (this is M$) and such, which are quite similar/exactly the same as Club Nintendo. No, I would still say it's click bate. While I agree with your overall point and find it sad the writer overlooked this information, there is no reason for games to be judged off their overall appeal. TV, movies, books and the like aren't judged that way, so who cares if Bloodborne appeals to a niche? It's still a good game in their eyes and ultimately accomplishes its goals, which makes it a good game.
Traditionally you're suppose to add "satire" to the title or something that indicates it's a joke and list it as an opinion piece (if I recall correctly) to put it on N4G. It's their way of compromising. Those looking for information don't need to look at that stuff that isn't relevant and those looking for jokes can read it.

And thats great for you, but you need to understand that games can be fantastic for other reasons. Like The Order might do some aspect you like better than Bloodborne, just like a lot of games might do a single aspect better than Bloodborne, but ultimately Bloodborne, like the Souls series, is all about the atmosphere/setting and gameplay.
To be fair, the relative risk is fairly low. Your WBPlay ID really only has your mobile data and has limited to no personal data or anything of real value to steal. I use to help people out with this on Injustice all the time, though I'm also depressed to admit that a number of people still tried to steal my account all the same.
