A pointless post that adds no value to this thread whatsoever.
Nice to see Insomniac so positive about working with Sony, they are a great dev team that Sony would do very well to keep hold of.
Gotta agree though i was also a little baffled by the PR part. They may be great to work with but they don't really seem to be putting PS3 advertising out there for the masses to see.
I think the last PS3 exclusive advert i saw on the TV (in the UK at least) was the Heavenly Sword ads, since then nothing really memorable. Where was th...
With all due respect Jeff and Bethesda need to pull their finger out and get the DLC for the PS3 version sorted. It's been long enough now.
I love Fallout 3 but i'm getting tired of waiting for my next Fallout fix, Point Lookout looks too good!
On topic, looks like another pretty good update for those lucky enough to get it!
Agreed. It was all about having a choice in the first place and the demo that sealed it for me.
I played the Infamous demo and loved it, instant purchase.
No Prototype demo had me a little suspect so rented it first and was glad i did, not a terrible game by any means but wasn't worth laying out another £40 when you've got Infamous sitting there begging to be played.
I can't wait for HR and it will be a day one purchase for me without a doubt but to say it could redefine gaming as a whole is more than a little bold!
I can see this having the same sort of impact that Fahrenheit did on the PS2, kind of a cult hit amongst a select group of fans but not really a massive mainstream hit as such.
I loved Fahrenheit (still sitting in my collection today!) but i know others who hated it and just "didn't get it", it certainl...
I'd love to see Syndicate remade for the current gen, that could have alot of promise if it was done properly!
These disposable movie tie-in crap games always seem to top the charts for a couple of weeks over here.
They will also probably be topping "pre-owned" sections nationwide within the next few weeks aswell though....
"The drums largely resemble the old Guitar Hero drums except for the cymbals which look a bit more like Rock Band drums"
Great............Well worth it then. Thanks Activision for yet another peripheral.
Agreed, Media Molecule deserve every bit of recognition they get and more besides.
Congrats on the awards MM!
Activision are unbelievable, £55!?
No way i'm paying that for a standard game. The last time i remember paying £50 for a game was back when the PS1 first came out and the games were extortionate prices.
The average price for a standard new release game these days (ie not special/deluxe editions) is £34.99 - £39.99 in the UK. I haven't seen any major retailer charge more than that for years.
Activision are well and truly taking ...
Hadn't heard of this before but sounds promising!
Any confirmation if this is multiplat/exclusive?
"We don't comment on our product pricing strategies"
No, they just comment on Sonys.
I don't think Activision should be openly telling people what to do do with their pricing strategies if they're not willing to discuss their own.........
On topic, if this is the price range they are thinking of charging for DJ Hero then they're really pushing their luck!
lol. So true.
I remember spending over £50 (about $100 at that time) on a 556mb pro duo stick when i first got my PSP and that was one of the cheapest ones around at that time!
@6.1
Err No, i know people who have dropped £100 on a 360 and a couple of games to fill the time (dunno where you got £300 and £400 from?).
The people i'm refering to aren't hardcore gamers, they wanna play Call of Duty, FIFA and a couple of other third party titles every now and then and aren't bothered enough about online to pay 50 shots for the pleasure. After watching a few Blu Rays and playing a coupla games on mine or my mates PS3's they've p...
Haha, Churchill was the man!
Agreed, it's there in black and white, xbox is clearly doing well but they have had a small dose of luck having such a low price point available in the middle of a recession, the situation definitly isn't strictly down to the xbox brand being better in the UK.
I, along with most of my friends, are PS3 owners but i know alot of people who have bought 360's simply until the ps3 price drops because they simply can't afford to lay down 30...
Eeeeeerrr.........we're in the middle of the worst recession the UK has probably seen since the second world war. Unemployement and job loss is at an all time high and everyone is watching what they spend.
You can pick up a 360 for less than £100 these days. Sony's console is still £299.
£100..............£ 299......... What is the average person going to go for if they are looking for a next gen games console when money's extremely tight??

@ Tarasque
If i wanted to play a UFC game i would have bought UFC 09 but i wanted a boxing game and (face buttons or not) in my opinion FNR4 was currently the best one around.
Not everyone who likes boxing is interested in UFC. Not denying it may be a good game in it's own right but it's not gonna be to everyones tastes.
Each to their own i but personally i haven't had any troubles with the analogue sticks.
I have had to fight different fighters using different strategies, some fighting behind the jab, some counter punching others just all out brawls, and the sticks have always seemed responsive and precise to me. Started a Legacy career on Championship difficulty and my record currently stands at 14(11)-1-0. (Only loss was a split decision and i came back and KO'd the guy 3 fights later! :))

Using the sticks encourages some degree of skill, by adding face buttons FNR4's online will just descend into mindless button bashing.
FNR4 should be treated as a boxing sim, not just another souless mash-em-up!
Res Evil peaked for me with Res Evil 2 (that game was awesome!), Res 3 was enjoyable but just didn't capture the same vibe as Res 2 in my opinion, close, but no cigar.
I liked the Gamecube remakes alot and thought they were outstanding graphically for the time, the story was also solid.
I enjoyed the new gameplay style of Res 4 and thought it was a step in the right direction with the over the shoulder camera but the story had already started to lose what made i...
