@Imallvol7,
I got my Killzone 2 Beta Code email about 3 hours ago. I was excited as F*ck!
It was sent from the Playstation Underground, so if anyone reading this wants in, you'll need to be signed up on the Playstation Underground (I registered back in 2003), but hopefully KZ2 beta codes will be distributed publicly like LBP and R2 from gaming websites so as many people as possible can get a chance to enjoy the K2 Beta
Back on Topic: X-Play gave Resista...
Plenty of video games get banned/censored in Austraila and now this? Damn, I'm glad I live in the States.
I got my Killzone 2 Beta Code about 30 mintues ago!!
I got the email from the Playstation Underground through the Official Playstation website... so if you aren't a Playstation Underground member then you might not get in, but if you are a Playstation Underground Member, be sure to watch your email.
This is the purpose of a Beta, to get feedback from players. But feedback from players of a Beta ISN'T news because it's just there own opinion's.
If this was Gamespot's or IGN's impressions of the Beta then it would be different. The Beta portion of Killzone 2 most likely is just an earlier build of the game. The final build will obviously be much more polished.
The only thing I would want on the PS3 from that list is Crysis.... and there's rumors that it's coming to the PS3, hopefully next year.
I don't see what's so special about L4D and to me it looks generic in comparison to Resistance 2 and Killzone 2. Valve's games may be hugely popular, but none of them really looked that appealing to me and neither does L4D.
Project Offset, Star Craft 2, and Diablo III aren't my type of games, and I don't play JRPG's, so Star Ocean 4...
Omega,
There's no need to drag Resistance 2 into this just because of this low Banjoe Review score. Just because 1UP scored Resistance 2 lower than Banjoe doesn't mean that Banjoe is better than R2 or R2 is "trash". IGN gave Resistance 2 the score that it really deserved (9.5)
I think that IGN's review scores carry the most weight because to me they are among the most unbiased.
I can't stand it when parents and the media are so quick to blame video games. There are movies that are just as violent/more violent than some video games, but they barely get mentioned at all.
I think that most kids can differentiate between reality and virtual reality. To me, watching a violent movie on screen seems like it could be even more influential on kids than video games because in a movie you actually see REAL people shooting up other people and with the technology in...
LOL @ NBA09TheInsideFlop
First of all, you are crazy if you even plan on buying this game because it's gotten some of the most crappiest reviews ever and I could care less if the 360 version was better or not.
This probably doesn't mean much, but the PS3 version has a Higher Average score than the Xbox 360 version, but still, it's a crap game so who gives a f*ck which version is better.
That's pretty good for the PS3 in France because the PS3 is still really expensive over there.
Also, the PS3 has already outsold the Xbox 360 in France back in 2007
The PS3 outsold the 360 in France late 2007 after only being out since March 2007 in Europe, and that's pretty impressive considering the 360 had a over year head start in France. Europe is a major territory for Sony.
Hopefully the PS3 can maintain this momentum in Japan until The Last Remant comes out for the 360. But White Knight Chronicles will be the icing on the cake for the PS3 in Japan late this year.
Right about now I bet that RARE wishes that they were still with Nintendo... if RARE was with Nintendo right now they would be swimming in money so deep they wouldn't know what to do with it...If this Banjo game was on the Wii, I'm sure that it could have sold like 5 or 6 million easily.
However, I do think that most reviews for this Banjo game will be pretty favorable, but I didn't think that a dedicated Xbox site would give Banjo a 7.4 though.
"So R2 is a compelling one-player game that at around 10 hours isn’t given a chance to outstay its welcome. "
To be honest, a 10 hour Single Player Campaign is pretty lengthy for a shooter in my opinion because most shooters these days struggle to make it past the 8 hour mark. I thought that Resistance Fall of Man had a pretty solid single player campaign in terms of length, and it seems like Resistance 2 is about just as long as the first and I'm happy to hear that. <...
"every professional reviewer agrees"
LOL, I wouldn't call even half of the reviews "professional" these days. I think that reviews these days are more full of bias than they were last generation.
I will only buy a 360 if it is RROD free. I'm not going to buy something that I know already has a high failure rate. Plus, I like the Playstation controller layout much better and that's what I'm used to.
Most games on the Xbox 360 are released...
So far I think the PS3's 2009 lineup looks far more impressive.
The only game that I think might not be released in 2009 is Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Jak 4. I don't think there's no way that Naughty Dog can develop Uncharted 2 and Jak 4 at the same time because they are a pretty small development studio... Uncharted 2 will come next year and Jak 4 will probably come in 2010 or 2011.
I think that the only notable games that are currently known on the 360 for next ...
Before, Team Ninja didn't say that they thought that the 360 was the most powerful system, Itagaki said that he thought that the 360 was the most powerful hardware, but the Team Ninja producers didn't say that though.
But honestly, Itagaki should have just said that he prefers the 360 because it's obvious the PS3 is the most powerful system.
""Flop"
We don't need to hear about your sex life.
K thx Bye "
LOL!!! Thanks for the laugh ThatCandianGuy, Bubbles!!!!
LOL @ Itagaki for saying that he thought that the 360 was the most powerful hardware. He should have just said that he preferred the 360 because it's obvious the PS3 is the most powerful system.
Gimped 3rd party games like Fallout 3 aren't a measure of what the PS3 is truly capable of, games developed and optimized exclusively for the PS3 like MGS4, GT5P, Wardevil, Uncharted, Heavy Rain, KZ2, Final Fantasy XIII and more is what the PS3 can really do. And yes, FFXIII is now multi....
As far as Music videos goes, I don't even care for them anymore.
When I was younger I remember watching MTV for hours at a time just watching the Music Videos (back when MTV actually used to air lots of music videos instead of reality shows), but now I don't even watch music videos anymore. All I care about now is being able to download the songs I want from Itunes.
However, I think that it's rather dumb for the PS3 not to have Music Videos from Sony BMG whenever th...
I don't think that Sony even manufactures the 40GB PS3's anymore so this article is somewhat irrelevant... an article like this probably would have carried more weight in June of this year, but not now. The 80GB PS3's are the new standard and as far as I know, every major territory has the 80GB PS3, most recently Japan.
40GB PS3's have been off shelves in the United States for MONTHS now and the 80GB PS3's have been the standard in the U.S. since August.
Plus, the PS...
Gamespot gives Gears 2 and Resistance 2 the same score? Say it ain't so!
But obviously, Resistance 2 has come a long way compared to the first and deserves this score.
