"5. It looks nice"

The PS3's interface looks nice with Custom Themes.

"3. You don’t look as nerdy using it"

WTF?! That doesn't make any sense at all. Why is the old Blade interface considered "nerdy" and the new one isn't?

"2. If MS make more money, they make more games"

Microsoft mostly buys games and hardly makes their own games even with the tons of cash that they already have. More money...

Once the PS3 hits $299 in 2009, I think that the PS3 will be outselling the Xbox 360 again in the United States like in the first half of 2008. If the PS3 wont outsell the 360 monthly once it hits $299, I think that it sure will come close to outselling it monthly in the U.S.

The 80GB PS3 at $299 is going to make the 60GB Xbox 360 look WAY overpriced, and once the PS3 hits that price, it's going to be a no brainer as to what console to buy. The lower the PS3's price gets, the HI...

With the overabundance of games this holiday, I think that Motorstorm Pacific Rift is just simply getting overlooked. I think that Sony should have delayed it until the end of November or early December.

I mean, LBP came out around the time of Motorstorm Pacific Rift in the U.S., and Resistance 2 came out the week after Motorstorm. Both LBP and R2 were more anticipated, and that's what most PS3 owners were picking up at the time and it's as simple as that.

I do plan...

After looking at some Left 4 Dead gameplay, to me L4D looks like a 8.0/10 or a 8.5/10 game tops. The graphics are pretty good, but nothing spectacular and the fact that it's just a Zombie shooter and there really isn't much of a story doesn't make the game all that compelling. And yes I know that L4D is all about the co-op and multiplayer, not story, but I think that with so many FPS on the market, the story in a shooter needs to be pretty good/decent.

However, I wouldn't trust O...

Just in case anyone hasn't heard, just a few days ago, Japan's economy has just officially entered into a Recession and I'm pretty sure that the Recession in Japan has affected sales of game consoles. If the Wii is just selling a little over 20,000 units per week in Japan, then clearly the Japanese just aren't spending as much on game consoles.

Plus, the PS3 has very few JRPG's, but the 360 has more and has had more JRPG's released.

I don't really think that the PS3'...

I have a PS3 (obviously) but don't have a PSP... I've thought about getting a PSP, but the lack of good games is the only thing that has kept me from getting one. There's been a few good games here and there, but just not a large enough steady flow of good games to really keep me interested.

The main reasons why I want one is for God of War Chains of Olympus because God of War is one of my favorite franchises and I simply MUST play that game before God of War 3.

I'm ...

Nope, don't care about video comparisons.

Whenever I know that graphical beasts of games like KZ2 and Heavy Rain are possible on the PS3, I don't need to see comparisons of 3rd party games whenever those developers clearly aren't utilizing the PS3 to a much higher capacity, they are just scratching the surface.

If 3rd party devs. were using the PS3 to the capacity that Guerrilla has then I would care about video comparisons, but since they dont use the PS3 in the way...

Wow, these sale numbers look more like Japanese game sales but not U.S. game sales.

Either way, I doubt many people with 360's or PS3's would be interested in the game because I sure wasn't. I would expect this game to sell more on the Wii, but only 2 copies sold on the Wii in a month?! That's just embarrassing.

Konami just needs to stick to Metal Gear Solid and other of their solid franchises.

I do think that Sony's advertising is falling far behind. This time last year there was those "Only On Playstation" commercials with the "Ladies and Gentlemen" song playing in the background was being ran on T.V. tons of times per day.

If Sony wants to have an impressive holiday, they definantly have to ramp up the advertising.

Sony needs to advertise MGS4, LBP, Resistance 2, and Motorstorm Pacific Rift all in one BIG Television commercial.... and...

Seeing that it's an Open World game, it seems like there could be a lot of potential gameplay, so I'm not too worried about the game length... for an Open World game I think that the main story should be 15-20 hours minimum and I hope it's not shorter than that.

InFamous should have some replayability though even if the game is short because your actions in the game will affect the story (you can choose to be a Hero or Anti-Hero).

I seriously don't see the Xbox 360 being serious competition for the PS3 in 2-3 years from now, even with the cheaper price because by that time Blu-ray will probably be pretty Mainstream and tons of households will own HDTV's and because the PS3 will offer much more than the Xbox 360 at Mass market price out of the box (Wifi, Blu-ray, Bluetooth, Web Browser, Free Online, etc...)

The PS3 already offers more than the 360 does out of the box, the only thing holding the PS3 back is ...

Still have my launch 60GB PS3 and lovin' it.

I wasn't able to get my PS3 at a store at launch and had to pay a little "extra" for mine on Ebay... either way it was worth every penny and more.

And in response to MAR-TYR-DOM, Looking forward to God of War 3, Killzone 2 and Wardevil the most out of all of the announced PS3 games in 2009. Uncharted 2 hasn't been officially announced for a 2009 release, but if it does get announced for 09, it will take the place...

Patty Wacker,

Sony always gives you more than you think you need and that's one thing I like about them.Sony are trendsetters and innovators, not followers, and that's something you just don't understand.

Sometimes I think Sony can be a little too ambitious, but they aren't afraid to take risks. Sony took a risk with Blu-ray and it paid off, Sony was the FIRST company to put DVD drives in a video game console (PS2) and it paid off. Sony isn't one of the most respect...

I think that LBP sold pretty well on the PS3 in the U.S. only to be out for 4 days in October. If LBP had came out on Oct. 21st I think that LBP probably could have sold about 400,000 units, but I honestly think that the PS3's price needs to drop to $299 before LBP can really start connecting with a different audience and really start selling the way it should be selling.

I know that Sony was touting LBP as a system seller, but I NEVER thought that it would be a system seller wit...

Whether you like it or not Omega, Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be a Playstation 3 exclusive.

If SquareEnix actually had plans of bringing Versus XIII to the 360 they probably would have announced it back at E3 along with the FFXIII announcement, at SquareEnix's event back in August, or at TGS.

Either way it's going to be a LONG while before FFXIII even hits the Xbox 360 seeing that they haven't even started development on it. And even if Versus XIII was announced f...

You need to get your numbers right. The 360 is at around 22 million worldwide and the PS3 around the 17 million mark.

"All the 360 needs is Metal Gear"

The 360 needs more first party games, that's what it needs, not more Playstation franchise games that are still going to be on the PS3.

I remember Konami themselves released their earnings statement a couple of weeks ago and they said that MGS4 had sold over 4 million copies... I think it was 4.4 million, but Ripten has MGS4 listed at 3.2 million.

And I didn't know that Uncharted was so close to selling 2 million either.

I'm guessing that Sony wanted to focus more on games with Multiplayer and that may have led to the cancellation of Eight Days (and The Getaway) because they were both going to be Single Player.

Sony also might have looked at the sales trends of other Single Player only games like Heavenly Sword or Rachet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction that were on the PS3, and after seeing that it took Heavenly Sword a pretty long while to reach a million, Rachet had been out for a pretty ...

@ThanatosDMC,

I don't think that graphics can make a game innovative as in the case of Killzone 2. In my opinion what will make Killzone 2 innovative is the First Person Cover System that keeps everything in First Person. As we all know Rainbow Six Vegas had a Cover system, but it was nothing like Killzone 2's.

Also, the use of the Sixaxis while Sniping in KZ2 to keep the controller steady is pretty innovative in Killzone 2 to me as well because it will actually take...
