I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition about an Hour ago, can't wait!
I'm a real sucker for Collectors Edition's of games that I'm highly anticipating... if Sony announces a U.S. Collectors Edition for Gran Turismo 5 as well, my March/April gaming budget will have gone completely out the window... but as a fan of both franchises to me it's worth it, and I didn't plan on buying any other games in March/April but GOW3 and GT5 anyways. 2010 is gonna be one hell of a year for games.

The first Splinter Cell game was exclusive to the Original Xbox for a little while, then later came to other platforms, and I'm expecting the same for Conviction because Splinter Cell has always been a Multiplatform franchise since the beginning.
This sounds pretty darn good to me, because it seems like Insomniac is gearing up to really start pushing the PS3 on a Guerrilla Games/Naughty Dog type level from now on and I'm all for that.
As long as a game runs smooth at 30FPS, I could care less whether it's 60FPS or not... I'd personally take better graphics and gameplay that ran smooth at 30 FPS than slightly downgraded visuals running at 60FPS.
Yes, Bethesda's games are pretty damn buggy, but I guess I was one of the VERY lucky ones because I put around 60+ hours into Fallout 3 (PS3 version of the game) before I stopped playing it, and the game froze on me only about 2 times in that entire span of time... despite it's issues, I still enjoyed the hell out of that game.
Never beat the game before I stopped playing it, but I'm definitely going to get the GOTY version eventually... but it won't be anytime soon, because oth...
GTA5 being released in 2010 is way too early to me... I'm thinking 2011 at the earliest for a new GTA game, and I'd be surprised if Rockstar released GTA5 along with AGENT the same year anyways.... oh yeah Rockstar, in GTA5 you guys BETTER have near the same amount of content and features that San Andreas had on the disc DAY ONE, I don't care how long it takes.
I think R3 will probably get announced at GDC next year, just like R2 did at GDC 08', and I'm hoping that Killzone 3 get...
Nice try to spin Uncharted 2's second/third week sales, but Uncharted 2 sold more the FIRST DAY (46K) than Forza 3's 32,000 this past WEEK.

I saw District 9 in theaters 2 different times and loved it. I had already planned on buying it on Blu-ray anyways, so this has me pretty excited, especially since I'm not able to connect my PS3 to the Internet that often (currently not connected), so I'm glad that there'll be a way to get the GOW3 demo via Physical medium.
I've never really played any other Mech games before except for some demo's of Armored Core, but Z.O.E. is a lot more fast paced, and most of the combat takes place in the air.
For comparisons sake, to me the gameplay is like of a Mech game mixed a little with Dragon Ball Z (Energy Attacks, Fast paced Air combat). I've only played the first ZOE (and I still own it), but I liked it a lot though and I think the story was pretty good too

That's a very understandable response as to why A Crack in Time doesn't have multiplayer, but because of the bigger presence of Online this gen on the Playstation platform, if Insomniac had incorporated Multiplayer in A Crack in Time, I think a good amount of people would have tried it out though.

The amount of time and all of the harder difficulties that I've completed in GOW1 and 2 would be equivalent of almost 2 platinum trophies by now, but regardless I can't wait to go back and relieve everything again and actually get rewarded for it.
The only trophies I can tell will give me a run for my money is: 500 hit combo, and Beating God of War 1 in under 5 hours... everything else listed I'm pretty sure that I've already done before during my first several playthroughs of GO...
As fun as the Train sequence was, my favorite part was when you were jumping from Truck to Truck in that Chase Sequence... that scene was almost identical to a chase scene in Uncharted 1, but ND really amped it up even more in Uncharted 2.
I can't even begin to imagine them topping the Train Sequence though... maybe next time we'll actually get a chance to drive vehicles in some chase sequences and are able to shoot a gun out the window at the same time like GTA?... I'd defiantly...
I haven't played Dead Space Extraction, but The Original Dead Space for PS3/360/PC should be on here.... The amount of immersion and tense experiences that the Original Dead Space offered as a 3rd person game BLOWS away a Rail shooter like Extraction.
The first Dead Space deserved to sell a lot more than it did though...at just $20 bucks now, if you haven't played it, pick it up.

Sony really delivered on that God of War 3 poll earlier this year by making the Remastered versions of GOW1 and 2, and it would be great if they did the same for the God of War 3 cover art.... let the Playstation community ...
I guess Microsoft must have had a 1 year contract of exclusivity with Netflix.... the amount of things that were heavily touted to be "Xbox Exclusive" this gen. that eventually made their way to the PS3 is just crazy.
I'm calling it right now, next year I wouldn't be surprised if Facebook and Twitter comes to the PS3.
On Topic: I'll personally stick with Blu-ray, but it's good to see that PS3 owners will have even more options for entertainment in addition ...
Out of all these I'd want SoTC, Twisted Metal Black, and Metal Gear the most.
I've been waiting for a TRUE sequel/follow-up to TM:Black since 2001 and the car combat genre is literally DEAD this gen.....If it turns out that Jaffe isn't working on a PS3 Twisted Metal game I'll be hugely disappointed.
Medievil, Tomba, and Jersey Devil are just a few of the many action adventure platformers that I'd love to see Sony remake or just make brand new sequels to them for the...
I'm a huge fan of the God of War series and GOW3 is one of my most anticipated games of 2010, but I have to say I really doubt that it'll sell MGS4 numbers (4.5+ million).... God of War 1 sold a little over 3 million, and God of War 2 sold around the 2.5+ million mark... so pretty much I'm expecting around those numbers for God of War 3.
Since GOW3 will be $60 dollar Single Player Action game, for the most part I think that it'll mainly be real fans of the franchise that have alr...
I have both Resistance games, but I still enjoyed the first Resistance more... In Resistance 2 I think Insomniac was trying to make it too realistic b/c the movements felt a little bit more "weightier", but Resistance 1 didn't feel like that....after playing R1, the more realistic movements kind of felt out of place to me in R2. I enjoyed the vehicle portions in Resistance 1, and that being absent in R2 was a little disappointing.
In the next Resistance I want Insomniac...
I love Uncharted as it is, but I'm really hoping that Uncharted 3 just isn't "more of the same". I'd love to see some of the elements from MGS3 like Hunting for your own food/Survival aspects in the next Uncharted, and I think a Moral/Decision system similar to the one in inFamous/Heavy Rain where your decisions can affect the outcome of the ending would be pretty cool too.... even if it takes ND 3 years to implement all that stuff in the game, it won't matter to me b/c Uncharted 2 ...
Microsoft coming out with a BD Add-on for the 360 does nothing but Add even MORE to the PS3's Out of the Box Value, and will make the PS3 look like an even better deal at $299.
There are Standard BD players out there now for under $150 and if the BD 360 Add-on costs more than that, I think it's overpriced.... but knowing how M$ is, I wouldn't be surprised if it's $179 or $199.

Game Industry lacked hit titles for First half of 2009?: Yakuza 3 (Japan release), KZ2, inFamous, MLB 09: The Show (even Aaron Greenburg loves it) Street Fighter 4, Resident Evil 5, Halo Wars, Prototype, etc... I'd personally consider those hit games.
NONE of those games came out on the Wii, and it's no wonder he's saying this.... As far as I'm concerned what Iwata saying about lack of hit games for the first half of 2009 mainly applies to the Wii.
