It's a lot like oblivion. I play it for an hour, maybe two, get bored then move on to something else. Still haven't beat it, but I will eventually. Hopefully they improve on this for the sequel.

'But as a true movie fan i can tell you guys that a lot of the blu ray studios are useing crappy transfer procedures, and some of the movies dont look all that great,so right now I have many more hd dvd's.'

Do you A/B them before purchasing? Just wondering how you know the HD-DVD version of a movie is better. Do you have an example or maybe a source of knowledge so I know which BR movies to stay away from?

So if you want to only talk about how great the 360 is just go into the 360 section and don't read stories that aren't about games. You don't have to read this, or you can submit anti-Sony stories which are submitted all the time.

I don't understand how you think BR is failing? They have one sub $400 player, yet somehow they are still killing HD-DVD whose players can be bought up at $99. I think there are still under 500,000 HD-DVD players in the US and 3 Million PS3's. Just like the PS2, these people have a great movie player built into their machine, and IMO this is what will bring both BR and the PS3 into worldwide mass appeal.

FWIW HD-DVD's are good, but I'm not shelling out another $100 for two...

Which somehow doesn't count in this war, didn't you hear?

Pro HD-DVD: They are primarily used for games, PS3 owners don't buy blu ray movies.

Pro 360: PS3's are primarily used for movies, PS3 owners don't buy games.

FWIW I have 7 blu ray movies and 10 PS3 games.

You are spouting lies, blantant lies. Have you played LBP or fooled around w/ HOME? No? Oh, that's right it isn't released yet, so don't pretend like they are underdelivering or copying or doing anything because you, like me, have no idea.

Secondly, the PS3 controller was originally the boomerang, but testing showed that people liked the old controller better. I like it and the motion controls are very good when use appropriately. You don't think that just maybe this was i...

This is why I'm glad I have both. Right now most of my time is on the PS3, but 3-4 mos ago my 360 was never off. For some reason I'm thinking this gen is going to be like this; play the 360 for a few months w/ their new 'AAA' title, move over to the PS3's new 'AAA' title and just hop back and forth as they compete for my money. No matter what 'I' win.

So, in summary, you may get updates to some games, you will not know what they are doing, the author doesn't know what they are doing, and in some cases the update 'could' be causing issues w/ the system crashing. Kind of a long article to tell me nothing...

So, it's no surprise that it isn't doing that well. Most of these sales are NA sales, which is less than half of the PS3 userbase. I have it and plan on playing it all day tomorrow... finally gonna get some time to enjoy it...

Hasn't this only been released in NA so far? Wouldn't that have something to do w/ sales since most PS3 owners don't live in NA? I think it's a fun game and it's a game that will stick around w/ new maps and mods. Plus, they have an extremely good version of the UE3 running on the PS3 which they had to do anyway if they plan on coding for the PS3 more in the future (or selling the engine as they have in the past).

The timing hasn't been great and the marketing hasn't been good for Uncharted. Up until about 3 mos ago PS3 owners had resistance, oblivion, and NG and that was about it. All of a sudden the console w/ 'no games' has about 7 new games worth owning. At $60 a pop I really doubt there are a lot of people that are willing to throw $450 into games after spending $400-600 on the system. Because of this people have to choose one or two games. Because of this and the poor marketing for the game ...

are declaring the 360 has won this gen. How many consoles has it sold? 14-15 Mil? Last time I checked the console that won last gen sold 120 Mil+. This is like declaring a winner of a marathon after 3 miles. No one knows who is going to win. 360 has cheaper hardware, but to get the full experience don't kid yourself in thinking you'll spend less than a PS3. And while the PS3 had slow sales in the beginning I believe they did the customer a service by adding in a blu lense. It is a com...

Don't pretend for a second that M$ didn't do everything in its power to sell 360's too. There was a deal when Halo 3 came out at best buy that basically gave you a 360 & Halo 3 w/ the purchase of an HDTV. Also, blu ray lenses are expensive. You probably don't remember this, but when I bought my launch PS2 I spent over $400 on it and that was 7 years ago. The reason I could justify it was the inclusion of a DVD player (which weren't exactly cheap at the time). The reason I can justify...

Except w/ better graphics, less options, and is built more around speed than anything else. Looks ok, but I'm not expecting a AAA title.

Not everyone is taking advantage of the blu ray player, but nonetheless it is there. Not everyone took advantage of the PS2 or Xbox's (add on) DVD players either. However, I bought a second PS3 (the $399 version) for my bedroom (32" LCD) for the primary reason to watch the blu ray movies I bought for my original PS3 (which is now hooked up to a 65" 1080p TV). The PS3 will help push blu and blu will help push the PS3. This was one of the primary reasons I bought a PS3 in the firs...

To me it doesn't make sense to upgrade your DVD collection. The older movies aren't filmed w/ that much detail, so how can it benefit from being in HD? My DVD's are upscaled to 420p, which you can't even tell the difference from 1080p hi def movies (I have Rocky on both and the difference is negligible). IMO only new movies are worthy of getting in HD as it is becoming more and more common to film digitally. However, most people don't think rationally like this.

I'm getting this. I love these types of games and the ability to play online would be so sweet.

They only shipped 20k there, so the fact they sold 14k of that isn't as bad as everyone is thinking. Probably right on par w/ what they expected.
