This will be a must buy for me and should distract me until FF XIII comes out. For 360 owners that played Blue Dragon, is it worth it? I played the demo and thought it was terrible, but I loved the old school FF's on SNES and PS1, would this keep my interest? Between this game and Blue Dragon, which would be better in terms of bang for the buck?
Hard to put fanboyism aside w/ a name like 'xbox is the best' and you say the multis look better. If you would have said multis made by EA I would definitely agree w/ you.
How many settings were you messing with? There's only a few options. I tweaked my settings, but it took me all of 10 min.

Not a date, a month, which has been the target month for a while now.
I hate the way console gaming has turned out. I never was into FPS's and I want some more genre's. Is it so bad to ask for some variety? It's my biggest qualm w/ the 360. Yeah we know you can put out a good FPS/TPS, give me a must have JRPG, or a great 3rd person action game / platformer. I have enough FPS's and the only reason I want to get Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Gears is because they are the must have games for the 360 and I don't want to miss out on those.
When I first got my PS3 and put in a DVD I had to change it otherwise it the movie would turn pink on my TV. I guess that doesn't happen to everyone. I really thought everyone would try to tweak their settings to get the best picture possible for their TV. Guess I was wrong...
Think of this as COD4.5 (or closer, 3.5) and wait for Infinity to get their crack at it.
Is that it's a game that is already out and can already be enjoyed on two systems. Personally I would rather have them work on a new IP, or at least add something not available on the other systems. If it's the same game, just on the PS3, then the 360/PC version is good enough for me and I can play it now.
Going against the grain just for the sake of it doesn't make any sense. He's limiting himself. And before you go bashing me, I own a 360 and nearly bought the add on when they were giving away all those movies. I'm glad I didn't, but had I gotten my 360 first w/ the add on I wouldn't buy 2 more HD-DVD players over a PS3 just for the sake of doing so. Just like I wouldn't not buy a 360 because I don't like M$.
Later this month. If you want to play this play it on the 360 or PC. I wouldn't a) count on a port coming and b) count on that it would be any better than an EA port. I got my 360 to play the exclusives, so my next order is going to be Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Gears. I still need to beat AC, COD4, UT3 and FF XII first though.
This is good for all gamers. It is pushing the boundries of console games w/ FREE user created mods and FREE user created maps. This is the level of consumerism that should be in all console games. Kudos to the developers and kudos to the modders. We should be rejoicing about this, not putting the console that we don't own down.
I really like the virtual tennis game. I was probably one of the few people that actually liked this system, despite the lack of games. I felt sad when they took it off the market.
Hopefully by the time Brawl comes out I'll be able to find a Wii under $350. So, it's not a bad thing for me.
I'm hoping for more variety this year out of my 360, but at this point am more excited for the PS3 exclusives. All my favorites are coming out this year.
Samsung has a player that is a cheaper alternative to the PS3. Also, though you never used the PS1 as a CD player or PS2 as a DVD player, many people did, me included. This was one of the justifications of my purchase of the PS2, it could also play movies, same as my PS3. So though you may not use the feature, I believe you are in the minority, especially for the 'casual' gamer.
Some people named like 20 games... you're telling me you've mastered each one of those? To the point that you think you'll beat 99% of the people that have ever played it?
RE2 comes to mind for me. I beat it about 100 times (not exaggerating) and got quite a few S ratings. Final Fantasy II I could beat in a single day. FFII for the original gameboy I could beat in 4 hours. Oh... and Tony Hawk 2 or 3. I have literally never been beat in either of those games. Madden 2001 ...

Everyone on this site should read this. Basically ever since the PS1 came out violent crimes have gone down. Not only this, but violent crimes among youth has gone down as well. It actually shows a correlation between violent video games and the 'decrease' of violent crime. Hmmm...
And to be honest I was pissed. I paid $50 in Nov and when I got some time off to actually play games Live was down, so I had no choice but to play my PS3 when I really wanted to play Halo. Had it been the other way around (which it was when COD4 just came out) PS3 users don't really have anything to complain about because it's a free service.
