I've said this before, but they need to market the $hit out of High Velocity Bowling. Have a commercial featuring it w/ the custom soundtrack and show a family, then a bunch of teenagers, then show a bunch of elderly people playing it. Then show 'Exclusive to the PS3, starting at $399'
Seriously, this would get the PS3 to fly off the shelves in all territories. 99% of consumers don't even know this game exists for the PS3, and many people I know ONLY bought the wii for bowli...
Multiple reasons. Convenience for one. Simple DL instead of finding the game, paying for shipping, and waiting for it (or digging around for the discs that are 'somewhere' in my house). Second, no disc swapping. Not terrible, but it brings me to my last point. Streaming to my PSP. Like I said, I would get it and purchase a PSP so I could play them anywhere w/out worries of finishing a disc and having to go home to change it up.
W/out actually disagreeing ;). I think it really depends on the spec and timing of a new 720. If it's released 2010 there is no way Sony will get a system out on time. However, if that's the case and M$ does the 'same ol, same ol' and stops making 360's and games it will go the way of the Dreamcast, especially (not saying this will happen) if the 360 ends up selling less than the PS3. I know I would NEVER pick that system up, even if Halo 4 came out on it (really the only reason I wanted ...
I bought a bajillion PS3's and they all broke... ;) There is no way this guy owns or has probably even played a PS3. Quit the trolling. You are the reason this site is in the shape it is. Oh, and it's 'acceptable' not 'exceptable'.
Now they can finally start promoting a single hi def disc to replace the DVD. One single format means that those movie companies will SLOWLY start to move away from DVD and on to blu. My prediction is that w/in 5 years DVD's will no longer be used for movies.
Doesn't anyone remember 7 PS2's on top of eachother as a prototype for the PS3 (which turned out to be a prototype for the CELL)? That was only a few months after launch. I am surprised this news is as late as it is TBH.
They should make the following commercial:

Obviously a full blown remake would be awesome, but is it in the cards w/ FF XIII yet to be released? I would say not. So lets not get our hopes up. However, it has been a long time since I've played FF VII and I would love to DL 7, 8 & 9 w/ nothing really added. Esp if sold at $10 or less. Those games are awesome and if they did something like this I would FOR SURE get a PSP to play them anywhere. Who cares about graphics in these games, seriously? These are story games w/ fun, ol...

News should have something, you know, new inside that everyone here doesn't already know about. PS3 has features that the 360 doesn't, but it has a higher price tag. I knew this a year ago.

Fandroid: PS3 was a success because it sold more consoles in the same amount of time w/ bad press, high price point, high competition and no games

When you start up your game next time (did this yesterday) and you are connected online the game will automatically DL the update.
Also, yeah, I found it to be slightly harder. Never had trouble w/ the first planet, played yesterday and lost on the last level twice... thought I just sucked yesterday, but it could have definitely been the update.

Excited for this. I'm totally addicted to this game.
From my understanding the profiles are firmware (mix of HW & SW). 1.0 is movie & menu only, 1.1 has PiP and other features (nearly all 1.0 players can be upgraded to this), and 2.0 is the final spec which contains online capabilities like DVD-ROM. Everything besides functions that need the internet can be upgraded via a firmware update afaik.
I don't want to get my facts mixed up, so if you can show me that profile 1.0 can't at least be updated to 1.1 and can't be upd...
By your logic it should be at about 24-30 million consoles by now. Come on, give me a break. It didn't even sell as many consoles as last year.
