Microsoft already dropped price and it's doubtful they will do the same next year. This gives SONY a large open window with many high profile games releasing. the PS3 would crash with it's $600 price tag. Not one console has ever exceeded with such a high price. With due time the PS3 was selling very well with a lackluster library. A holiday price drop and it seemed many wanted to have one. This year with the economy and $400 base price it has hurt. Although I still think tens of millions of loyal consumers will be ready to buy the PS3 when the price and the established franchises hit.
It's still one of my favorite games this year. As far as I'm concerned it's much better than GTAIV which had a fair share of slow moments. R2 is a nonstop action fest. It's one of the first games I have played thru three times in a row. I will probably play it again. I love the online aspects with co-op and competitive and am trying to get my last three trophies for the platinum. R2 is one of my top picks for the PS3...
Now when the service launches I am sure we will be seeing the full version. Stores I am sure will have many more items. I don't think they are being added right now since everything available is free to Beta members. I can imagine seeing some fun new features available. If you ever use foreign accounts you can check out Europe and Japan and see their HOME space is very different from ours.

Having most games available for download but they will not get rid of an optical drive or some type of place to take games. Broadband is just starting to become established and it will take at least ten years before a nation wide standard is the norm. Expect the PS5 but not the PS4. Even with downloads only you would have to have a very large hard drive considering many PS3 games tip over 10 gigs and some are over 20 gigs.
Over what HOME was a year and a half ago when I was the beta began. I am impressed by what has been done. I can only hope that more is to come. I think HOME can be something great. Hopefully it becomes the future for the PSN...

To really take advantage of the Earth shattering explosions that will look like your really in battle. I don't think words can fairly describe how amazing of a game this will be. As COD4 really created a lot of new expectations, Killzone 2 will set a bar so high most will have a hard time coming close.
Although I don't really see it happening. The only surprises we have seen over the past couple of years is exclusive being lost after exclusive. EPIC could potentially add another 3 million or more games sold if they add the PS3... Not including costs that would be nearly $200 million. Epic has proven they can make a great game on the PS3 in Unreal Tournament III. So development costs wouldn't be that high. So Epic does have all the Aces when it comes to their franchise...
to see how amazing this game looks... I think games like Killzone 2 will create a lot of new PS3 fans. This is one game that I am very excited for.
that SONY would be going to so much trouble of hyping this game up if it's not going to release for another 12 to 18 months. I could understand getting the hype up for Killzone since they had to get people excited for the PS3. I would think this game could be released for Holiday 2009.
I think SONY is confident there is still plenty of the market left to be captured. Millions upon millions of PS2 owners still haven't moved up to the next gen so I think they will take their losses this holiday season and come on strong next year where they can drop the price.
Some of you 360 fanboys need to get a life... Who cares??? Really you shouldn't be gloating about anything when the 360 is $50 cheaper than the Wii and still loses every week. But I guess you pick your battles. In reality it's pretty impressive with the economy people are spending $400 on a videogame console.
Some people just need instant gratification. SONY has rarely had a game sell big in it's first week. Most Playstation games since the PSone have gathered momentum. SONY has always relied on making a great product that can speak for itself. Except this game to do well in the long run.
I don't know why the only argument is the color. I like the darker color tone just as I like the bright colors of Uncharted. It fits the mood of the game. If any of you read books then you know how important it is to establish mood from the get go. Creating an environment whether it's a book, movie, or game is the most important thing when telling a story.
If you go into Blockbusters you may notice they have a special PS3 kiosk displaying the advantages of a PS3 with Blu-ray. They also are advertising a special PS3 bundle offer. I realized that they already have a partnership and this would be a match made in heaven... I have had Blockbuster online over five years since the service began. It really is an excellent service...
As far as foreign movies they have a great selection available. I have discovered many excellent movies...

R2 was not overhyped. It hardly had any commercials and coverage in mainstream press. It didn't have one midnight opening despite Gears having hundreds of Gamestops with midnight openings. If you went outside of the gaming bubble you would be hard pressed to find someone who knew what Resistance 2 was. Many more knew would know what Gears 2 was. with many companies that work closely with them. It's more than just selling millions of games it's being treated right and knowing that you will be given the resources for game development and advertising. SONY does an excellent job fostering these companies so they continue to produce great exclusives. Level 5 will help SONY secure the Japanese market even more for now and the future.
