Thanks for putting in your two cents. The UI is slightly better on the PC, though it can still be slightly messy at times.
I agree with the text, shame a lot of people so far think I'm crazy for not wanting to wade through it all to experience a game that seems two thirds finished.
@dcj0524
With the next gen we should be seeing plenty more MMO's hitting the console seen. I don't think many of them will be asking the same kind of m...
@Dno
Cheers, I will endeavour to improve my reviews as much as possible if people were fair in examining a game.
Some quests may give some idea of what is going on but that doesn't require a 5 minute sit down while they chat on. I, like many players, wish to enjoy and experience the game by playing, not reading a book every half hour.
Yes I played on the PS3 which was pretty bad. I have since played the game on the PC which is decent. Bes...
@Blackcanary I haven't played the game but have seen people do so. I still wonder how anybody could have said that was a revolutionary game in the MMO world. Yes and Square Enix still charge for that game.
I love books, I play games for the combination of books, movies and music media in one with player interactivity. I do not play games to be stood there pressing skip just to accept a quest. Voice's can be skipped but my main point with FFXIV is the fact that the gam...
Yes and as I said in the post, the game is coming out in a week. The game is pretty much release ready in Square Enix's mind. It still has issues that will carry on to the full game. Please read the entire article before trying to be a wise arse.
What I mean is it is less efficient to do it in an archaic fashion compared to what some of the newer MMO's have done. They didn't have to do voices, but what they have at the moment is gonna put a lot of people asleep. ...
Nintendo can re-release the Wii U all they want. Until they get their finger out of their butt and start making new and fresh games for the console, only Nintendo fans are going to be buying the rehashed stuff they've been releasing so far.
Watch Dogs will be ace on new consoles where as I haven't seen any great use of the Wii U to make the game any different. Xbox One and PS4 will sell just as many as the Wii U has so far, if not more. They are offering new IP's ...
I would have thought with Valve pretty much covering this generation with its games, you'll most likely see it on the next gen. Though if you can't get it at the moment, that could be the same even if it launches on the ps4.
So true. With the next gen around the corner everybody seems to forget about what's still coming out for this generation. Beyond Two Souls anyone?
Definitely. A great game that I can only see getting better with updates.
Kalkano: Yes that is true but not always. You can often enjoy a game because of how bad it is or just because it was laugh with a couple mates when you were younger. Memories are not just formed from a mind blowing experience.
Games are always evolving in terms of graphics, story and gameplay.
What we remember from the good old days is often the good memories we had with those particular games, not necessarily the great game itself.
And people are surprised by this, why?
Everybody with common sense knew they were showing off the PC/Xbox One/PS4 version like every other company. We had the same rants going around with BF3 when people realized the great look version was on PC only.
What nobody seems willing to bring up is the fact that the game is still going to be just as great as on next gen. So the pixels aren't as fancy, the gameplay is still the same.
GTA V doesn&...
I can understand what you mean but at the same time, fiddling with numbers is something anybody can do. It feels like a lazy way to make a game more difficult compared to thinking more outside the box.
Agreed that harder enemies means you sometimes have to use different tactics, but most of the time it just means you'll be spending more time grinding then enjoying the game.
Agreed. Trouble is, how do we contain that group of our own community and repair the damage?
Damn! Looks like you guys don't get cut much slack. And here I was a couple months ago, considering moving to Australia or New Zealand for some decent housing and for a proper government.
I feel sorry for the Aussies. We get shafted a little in the UK but no where near as much as our fellow gamers in Australia.
My bad. Guess that's what happens when I'm rushed around like a blue arsed fly.
Thanks to the dude's report its fixed now.
Well the fifth one was okay but nothing special. I think the days of DOA being a great one on one fighter have come to an end.

1.) I agree that it does give a player base to a console as any launch of a new console needs but the maximum ammount that could be sold is only in the reagion of a couple million. Nothing compared to our already dated generation that are topping 70+ million. This next generation will be won over the long term not short term.
2.) If.... lots of ifs as was with the original kinect that was completely useless in 90% of UK homes. I enjoyed the kinect when...
1.) Pre-orders are not an accurate way to judge demand as they are always limited.
2.) Why would the public go crazy for either next gen console? The only console the general public went nuts over for the past 10 years is the Wii. I wonder why that was? The general public are not massive gamers, the people pre-ordering the console are.
3.) Yes it looks fancy, er... that's about it. Otherwise it seems a glimmer of its past. Remember the original trailer fo...
Its still going at the moment. Not sure if their just waiting till everybody logs off or they extended it for a few more hours.
@Maniac76
Try today, they restarted the servers during the early hours of the morning to fix many players issues with logging in. I myself had the exact same issue. Should all be working now though.
