To be honest Arkham City looks no different to me than Arkham Asylum, graphically speaking.
Really like how all of the enemies seem to have personality and feel like real people, rather than being faceless cloned cannon fodder. Definitely one to keep an eye out for.
I'm calling 2013. Kinect is still a brand new device with a lot of already announced software in the pipeline set to come out next year, and it's safe to say there are other projects that haven't been announced too. Microsoft is not going to abandon support for their new peripheral (which they are using to extend the life of the 360) that came out less than a year ago. I can see a 2012 announcement, but no way in hell we are getting a new system next year from them.
If it doesn't play like Budokai/Burst Limit, no care at all.
Time of day and weather are features I definitely think will make their way to Forza (probably by the next iteration), but even without them it doesn't detract from the actual racing. It'd be a bigger concern if each location didn't have enough track variations, but alas, this isn't the case.
Definitely looks intriguing. But please for the love of god Sega, do SOMETHING about that voice acting. Holy fuck that is bad.
I feel like sites like this only post reviews to get hits. It's a gorgeous game, blends several gameplay styles from various genres, is a lengthy and content filled experience, and has great enemy AI. Even if someone didn't like Rage, it's hard to argue that it's a BAD game among the ranks of other turds like Call of Jaurez: The Cartel, Bomberman Zero, and other flaming piles of garbage to release this gen.
Don't know why I never thought about it til now, but this game makes total sense on the 3DS. Glad to see the 3DS is getting some good core 3rd party titles!
Aside from a couple graphical glitches (which is what I'm hearing most complaints about), the game is awesome. Im only about 5 or 6 hours in and it's one of my favorite games this year.
Like the game so far, lots of graphical bugs and low-res textures though. Would have MUCH preferred the game to run at 30 fps and look sharper.
Trust me buddy Zelda is probably my favorite game franchise of all time, but your comment is a little off base I think.
Yes in the past Zelda has been extremely innovative, but the last several games really haven't strayed too far from the guidelines OoT set down. And Uncharted is definitely better than being considered just average. Yea the setting/characters/subject matter of the game is extremely generic when compared to something as fantastical as hyrule and its inhab...
Damn, hopefully DMC does well so that they can get back to Enslaved 2. The first game had tons of potential. Still a very good game, but I enjoyed watching and listening to it more than playing it sometimes.
What's even worse is that the ending of Kameo basically tells you straight up that there's going to be a sequel. I hope Rare takes a break from ripping off Nintendo after KS2 and gives us a REAL Rare game.
God I hope this is fake. The last thing I want is MORE out of place 3rd party characters in a NINTENDO mash up. The only ones I could probably tolerate would be any Rare character since they were once a 2nd party dev for the company.
Pokemon Snap 2 on the Wii U. This game is BEGGING for it. Just imagine, controlling the game normally with your controller, but when you want to take a picture you hold down a button to ready your camera, then you aim your camera by moving the Wii U controller and taking a picture. Me and a buddy were just talking about this the other day.
That WOULD be awesome, but knowing Nintendo it's just going to be some garbage spin-off game that they put together in 6 months as usual.
Oh god no. They could maybe learn a thing or two in terms of rewarding players as they level up online and such, but FOR THE LOVE OF GOD keep Iron Sights, massive reticule bloom (Reach's was fine, it wasn't like the reticule bloom in most shooters), 4 hour campaign's, etc. out of my Halo.
Why the hell would they remove Reticule Bloom? I know they are doing that for the anniversary playlists, but that is going to totally destroy the game if they implement that into the game's main playlists. Once bloom is removed, what's now the difference between using the Plasma Repeater or the Plasma Rifle. Why use the DMR when the Pistol (which does the same amount of damage) can be fired at lighting speed with no bloom?
Every one of Reach's weapons serves a pa...
Fuck the 3DS. If this game is the next numerical installment in the series, the only way they can do it justice is on PS3/360. Yes a handheld iteration would probably still play nice, but from a tech standpoint the game will be extremely stifled, like I said above.
ZOE2 was one of those sequels that dramatically improved over its predecessor, but on a handheld you would actually be scaling back the game, whereas on 360/PS3 you could throw twice the number of enemies on screen...
Nah definitely not Rage. Yea it runs at 60 fps but its horrendous low-res textures and constant texture pop up, even if you install the game to your hard drive, automatically disqualify it from having a shot at being the best looking game out there.
Crysis 2 is the clear winner out of the two. Yea it runs at 30 fps, but its much more consistent in its good looks, not to mention all of the physics and destructible/interactive objects in the environment. Hell even Halo: Reach ...
