I don't really expect the Wii U to be the giant leap forward in tech that the 720/PS4 will be. But honestly, as long as it's more powerful than what we currently have and I can play games akin to Rage/BF3 with no corners cut like on our current console version, then I'm pretty happy.
Looks much better than some of the earlier stuff we were shown. I love CS to death but they really do need a REAL sequel.
Halo did more to innovate the FPS genre then CoD and Battlefield combined. You just can't argue that, no matter how good CoD and BF are.
Nooo, Halo has had it's moment of fame and now CoD has its turn. Halo is still very successful (the sales for Reach were incredible given it was a single platform, non-numerical entry to the series), but of course the series has already peaked in popularity.
Sprinting originally was set to be in Halo 2. You can read about it in EGM's original blowout article on the game back in 2002.

Anyways, they already just let a couple of top notch studios walk away from them (Bungie and Bizarre), so they really need to buy up some other developers to refill their stable. Epic and Remedy would be great choices of course.

It's no secret that Rayman and BG&E are quality titles to people on sites like these, but they are never going to reach a mass audience without a decent amount of promotion.

I don't see this happening. No doubt Microsoft is working on their next system, but 2012 just would be a horrible move. Kinect has only been out a year. They aren't going to suddenly stop support for this new peripheral that was supposed to extend the life of their current machine for several years, and then also there's Halo 4. Unless its getting moved over to become a next gen launch title, that game alone offers enough incentive NOT to adopt a new machine.

It's sad, Halo Anniversary is a remake of a 10 year old game and has more new features than a full blown CoD sequel. Fuck Call of Duty.

I'm glad Spike actually has the balls to even nominate a Wii game this year since they totally left out Mario Galaxy 2 off last years list even though it had a higher gamerankings/metacritic score than any other game they nominated.

These articles are fucking stupid, just like the KZ2/KZ3 comparisons. It's the same motherfucking engine. Yes UC3 still looks amazing, but just as amazing as UC2. There is no EXTRAORDINARY leap. Yes between the first and second game, but I feel like people just believe what they want to sometimes.
Not gonna happen. If the series has or had quality, substance and charm, Rare probably won't make a game for it. Hence all this Kinect garbage they've been making for Microsoft.
