I don't think that "Wii 2" will sell as fast as the Wii did. Simply because I think that many "casuals" will be content with having the Wii for a few more years. And therefor I don't believe that the Wii 2 would affect the sales of the NGP.
They already are. Read some articles some time ago that developers are in on the development of the ps4 already so this time around, Sony won't make that mistake again.
Well it is the way that developers can approach the NGP that is gonna make it shine. Developers will be able to develop titles for multiple platforms since the PlaystationSuite will make a lot of devices compatible with games that are made for the NGP. Of course the technical limitations of other devices will make it impossible to run more heavy games, but the developers only need the tools for the NGP to develop games for all PlaystationSuite enabled devices if I understood correctly. Ninten...
Well read the specifications that have been posted here on N4G a lot of times :P
NGP has 4 cores in the CPU and 4 in the GPU :P
Naa I meant a game like CoD, but with gameplay where you get to develop new weapons, supply the troops with various resources and such :) And then if you choose to, go into FPS-mode :) Would be awesome!
Why can't they make a war-game where you are not the soldier? :P
Probably because its bundled with Kinect :P?
I would like to know how accessible it is for players that normally don't play fps's. Like me :P
They are competing with those devices. Playstation Suite will enable a shitload of devices to play many playstation games :) I don't think we can only count hardware when we talk about competition :) Which is something that the games on the PSP never were capable of.
Playstation Suite is the biggest thing with the NGP I think.
Well what would make them dominate the handheld market (If anything) is not the NGP, but the PlaystationSuite. The PSSuite will enable millions and millions of devices that are already out there to play at least PSOne classics. PlaystationSuite will pull in developers since they will be able to spread their games to as many people as possible, with minimum effort since ALL PlaystationSuite-enabled devices will be able to run these games if the devices meet the technical requirements for the g...
It was my intention to add to your arguments :) A complement
to what you said in other words. So I wanted to help your point ^^
I voted for another bubble for you for "Well said" btw. No need to respond to this due to your lack of bubbles. :)
I believe that there is a very big reason that most people overlook, including you. And I don't mean that as criticism, you're post was great^^ And this reason isn't the only reason. A lot of things affects this of course.
Gamer fatigue. People who play games a lot will be more resistant to new games. They will stay true to only the games they absolutely love. They might try other games occasionally but are unable to see the game for what it is, since they keep co...
Except Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim should be Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim :P
Well at least the kind of 3D that Nintendo uses in the 3DS. 3D on a portable device wouldn't be a gimmick if things came out of the screen, instead of just giving feeling of depth like the 3DS does. And as a few have mentioned above, the 3DS screen is to small to get the full experience anyway.
And not to mention the OLED touchscreen. And the backside touchpad. And dual analog sticks. I think that the success of the 3DS depends on how well they market it. If Sony and Nint...
Remove the ps3 from the tags if it says nothing about the ps3 or games on it :P Otherwise, nice article! Would have liked to see some examples of games for the ps3 aswell though :)
It is, but it is also a term used as a term for an informant. :P See the link that Stbl990 posted.
No they can't. Video games may however act as a catalyst for mental problems that you already have.
If a Monster Hunter were to be released for the ps3, the sales would go through the roof! I hope that they one day release a monster hunter for ps3. I will buy it! :)
I wouldn't recommend building a "top of the line" gaming rig. It is better to buy a cheaper computer with nice specs and upgrade it every now and then when its needed. A really good rig becomes a decent rig very fast today. :)
That is what I have done. Last year I upgraded from a 2,4 Ghz dualcore processor to a quadcore 3,4 ghz. That cost me $250. then in november last year I bought a gtx 460 for about the same price. Its easier to handle the cost if you upgrade...
