There are some things that I hope they sort out. These are my personal opinions so I am in no way trying to impose them on other :)
1. Water-physics and interaction with water.
2. Characters seem to float above the ground sometimes
3. Visual glitches, some objects are not solid when they should be. Stones on the ground etc.
4. Spells should have slightly brighter colors, they feel a little to bland though. The effects themsel...
I really don't see how they could use anything but blu-ray. It would be suicide to introduce another format. And DVD's won't be able to hold next-gen games. But everything is still speculations so all things are still possible. But again, I don't see any other way to go as it is now. As I say, they might not go for a higher capacity than ps3 currently has, which is 50GB.

If you want to argue that those devices aren't gaming devices, then your reasons should look like the following:
1st: The Ipad doesn't have buttons. Buttons enables a larger variety in control-schematics that are required for more complicated games. From a hardcore point of view, the games on devices like Ipad aren't in the same league as dedicated gaming handhelds.

1. Over 41,6 million of the sold ps3's are connected to internet.

It may not be cost effective YET, but it will be since NGP:s lifecycle isn't 1 day. As for all consoles, all parts in them gets cheaper over time, and so will the NVG-cards. :)
Then they might make the tools for user created content a DLC-pack :D and release add-ons with more items (Like textures, models etc) as DLC too ^^
I see this as a future for most games. The ability for users to create their own levels or other types of in-game content is the ultimate way to increase the value of a game. It opens a omfg-ish big door of replay-value. I'm very happy to see this happening ^^

Well I would believe that it is more common cause sex sells. All the debate around a game that is "vulgar" (swearing, sex etc) is free advertising and will make people want it a little bit more than they did before. That's what I believe^^

Well I think that CryEngine3 will scale nicely. They have said that it is compatible with the NGP so I guess it has to be really good at scaling :P
