"Microsoft is asking the courts to determine a more reasonable royalty rate for the use of the technology.."
Wtf? Lol. Be a better negotiator and don't sign something like that if you don't want to pay up. If they succeed and get their demands I feel sorry for all companies that depend on their royalty based contracts with others. Cause then they can just sue them and say: "I think I'm paying to much, I don't want to pay that much. I just want m...
@The real killer: Yes they are. For the way you are used to play video-games. But Kinect, as well as Move, will work with all genres, just differently from what we are used to. I'm not saying it will work well or badly, just saying that it will be different from what we are used to.
Well disagreeing with someone without stating a reason will not lead to them changing their opinion. That is why I ask, because I like having discussions, but it seems that there are a lot of people here on N4G who are incapable of discussing.
Well Kinect is here to stay, thats for sure. It is gonna be very interesting to see how they implement it in different genres. It could easily work, but it won't work as it would with buttons. And I don't mean that in a bad way, it is just an observation. All genres will work with Kinect as they will do with Move, they will just be played differently than what we are used to.
Next year I'm gonna enter the HD-gaming era. Will start off with a ps3, then a Wii and th...
The following logic clearly states why Kotick and his statements are absurd:
"Ko" means cow in Swedish. Tick is something that give u diseases or make you say something stupid without any intention of saying it. Therefor Kotick is a cow that says weird things and is spreading diseases in the game industry.
:)
Well I wouldn't call that a new class exactly. It was just a different type of character but in its core, you were just given a character with a different look but same mechanics as the others, just different names for it. With "death-grip" as an exception. But a completely new class? No way.
I wish they would introduce new classes instead of adding new races :/ I want some innovative classes and just not the standard ones.
You do realize that not all countries in the world writes dates in the same way? Good example is 9/11. Nine eleven. In Sweden it would be 11/9 so he is not wrong.
I love the look of the Move gun :D But only because it reminds me of the gun that Commander Keen is using. A bit of nostalgia there :D
Well what a lot of people seems to be forgetting is that the XDR RAM used in the ps3 is much faster than that which you use in a PC. The ps3 XDR RAM runs in 3.2 Ghz while the normal PC probably have 1066, 1333 or 1600 Mhz memory today. Hell I upgraded from 4GB 800 mhz memory earlier this year :). And XDR RAM as it is now has the capacity to run in 4 Ghz. Although development has begun towards 8ghz XDR RAM :)
And then Sorcery, Killzone 3 and so on :)
Well one of my best friends used shrooms on occasions and he also played a lot of games. He killed himself in the end. So I'm not sure that is a good idea, although I don't know if it was because of the shrooms. If this was just a joke, then it was a bad joke. No drug-abuse is good.
Everyone can remember a lot, some have just harder finding a working system to remember with :) Anyway, the kid seems kinda off and it is sad in a way. But as long as you are managing life so who cares really?
Well it is put as a forum post so that people can comment on it. It wasn't possible to separate it from further articles if put under the tab "articles". The forum is just a way to enable people to comment, and not a forum as such. We are trying webs out as a host and therefor the way things work might be weird.
Yeah. Are the people tiny or is the TV really large? That and they look funny lolz xD
It is not a direct copy of the Wii-mote. Move tracks in 3D the Wii-mote does not.
When I have kids, I will let them play whatever they want. BUT I will make sure to tell them what a game means and that it is in no way okey to do things that you can do in certain games in the real world when you are playing with friends etc. With good parenting there is no need to worry about these things. I think that kids benefit a lot from being able to choose for themselves from the beginning instead of having their parents shove down their opinion and their interests. My parents did th...
I would love if there were 2 different review scores. One where you look at the game just like it is and one score where the originality and how intuitive it is, is judged. A lot of times I'm really excited about a game, but when I finally get to play it, it often feels like something I've played before. I want new experiences and original games, with intuitive stuff and combinations that hasn't been done before, or very rarely. Would really like that.
What I do like is that this is gonna be Move-enabled which for me is kinda a big thing. I've never been very good at fps's and I think that for me, Move is gonna make it easier to aim. I have never really liked shooters at all. But when I get my ps3 I am gonna give this a try :)
Well I am fed up with todays games, at least with the majority of them. Especially MMO:s. I have yet to discover an MMO that DOES NOT feature levels. All levels do in MMO is just forcing the developers to focus on end content and that saddens me. I hate the focus on end-level content in MMO:s. I don't want to be "forced" to reach a certain level so I can visit new areas and experience new environments. I love looking around the next corner to see what the artists of the games ha...
